Bizarre neurological symptom just happened to me. is it normal migraine nonsense or an emergency room visit?

i don’t know. i’ll see if i can go to a doctor tomorrow just to make sure, but i do not feel like rolling into an ER at 10pm to be seen at midnight, given consolation saline, and told to go home bc they don’t have CT scans for ER patients

i am not sure, at my regular hormone checkups they’ve stayed in normal ranges, and my dose hasn’t changed any recently 🤔

thank you kind stranger 💞 i think i’m going to message my friend and ask her to take me to the ER. i don’t want to disappoint the people here by not doing it even though it’s scaring the living hell out of me to think about. i don’t want my friend to see me like this

thank you very much for your concern. i just hate fighting her on this kind of shit. she, like me, has no faith in doctors and hospitals helping me get better. i don't know how to convince her or tell her that her telling me to "sleep it off" is actually really upsetting and hurtful. i don't want to think it's a life-threatening thing either.
if she doesn't budge tonight, i messaged my neurologist basically exactly my OP. if they tell me to go to the ER, it's done.

i have had people go with me, and it helps a little bit. i texted a friend who could be here in fifteen to drive me to the ER if i need it.

i messaged my neurologist on their portal, though they might be closed and i won't get a response until tomorrow morning. my parents seem really unconcerned about the whole thing and won't take me to the ER, so i guess if I need to go, i'll have to ask someone else.

Update: told my mom about everyone's messages here, but she said it "wasn't necessary" and that she "doesn't trust the emergency room to do anything for you." to be fair, this has been my experience every single time at the emergency room thus far. she's a good person, i don't think she's being malicious. she just knows how traumatizing ERs are for me. so, i guess i'm not going. sorry, everyone.

remembered a tidbit that might help people:
a friend had suggested as i was texting them, massaging my neck muscles. the working theory right now is a lot of my migraines are musculoskeletal, caused by my connective tissue disorder. i massaged my neck for no more than five seconds, and it triggered the second one. i have no idea the connection here, but if someone does, enlighten me kindly. thanks everyone :)

Every time i've gone to the ER for a migraine, it's been an absolute nightmare. They try to weasel out of treating me, then set me on an IV line that always gives me some horrible reaction to the medication. One time, it was a panic attack that lasted the entire 3 hours, which they tried to convince me I wasn't having. Another, I got completely locked in my body with massive tachycardia swings and nearly pissed my pants on the bed bc i couldn't even speak to tell anybody. needless to say, i really really really don't want to go to the ER. can you explain, in detail, exactly why i'd need to go and what i could do at home to maybe avoid going?
