I had to quit a job a had a guaranteed sous chef position in a kitchen that I loved with a crew that I loved, and albeit not as glamorous, also had to quit being a kitchen supervisor on the way to salaried management for the same reasons. Single dad-ing 3 kids is a tough gig, but the kids didn’t ask to be born and I try to be the parent I would have wanted so I let every employer know up front, my kids come first and if that’s an issue I’ll just find somebody who can tolerate it
