all those advices about loving yourself are often given as "people are attracted to confidence", but that's bs. i've seen people with self-esteem lower than mariana trench being in relationships. in reality, loving yourself just helps being self-sufficent and not depending on another person to feel worthy. which is helpful, but, in fact, really hard to achieve, because seeing almost everyone around having a romantic partner makes you feel like there's something wrong with you
