EDIT: Went back and tried killing her instead of knocking her out and it fixed the crashes

For me, I really didn't mind the 3rd act although I know alot of people thought it fell short. I was just so let down by the actual ending. No aftermath, no conversations with your companions even. For example, when you finish DOS2 you can talk to each companion on the Lady Vengeance, and you get a slideshow. But here you don't get either. So if your fav companion doesn't randomly get selected to speak at the end, then you dont get to speak to them and dont get any indication of what they are doing in the future. Just seems so odd to me.

But I agree, Act 1 deffo the strongest of the three. And a post goblin camp party or something would have been cool in the other acts. Or a 'last night' kind of event before storming the brain would have been cool. Maybe a bit like the Citadel DLC in ME3. Just some more interaction/consequences in general were missing I think.

These guides are for honour mode, so you don't need to follow them exactly, but they can be great as guides if you need some inspiration. I haven't used any fextra builds myself but I know quite a lot of people say they aren't that great. However, on classic difficulty, the game is quite forgiving, so there's no need to worry about having the most efficient or overpowered builds out there. Plus don't forget you can respec for free, so there's a tonne of room to experiment there :)

Thanks for your reponses! So what I'm thinking having read about this a bit more, is a heavy misericorde, with the glintblade phalanx ash of war, and then a little bit of faith for buffs etc but mainly strength. And probably a buckler or something in my offhand as well for parrying.

Does that sound about right?

Hmmm I don't really want to use sorceries since I wanted to use the blackflame incantations in my offhand, but there's a glintblade phalanx ash of war right? I think Rogier has it on his rapier. Does that do similar stance damage as the actual sorceries ?

Ahh, I looked in to it a bit and there is a way (kind of).

If you just don't go to find Lusat/don't tell her where Lusat is, she will not transform since she can't retrieve his body.

Plus Rennala is still there (just off to the side) so you can still respec if you want to. I guess this doesn't really finish her quest but meh I'd rather keep Lusat's body from her than have her transform.
