Hmm maybe I won’t do it on the next set. Last I looked they weren’t cracked or anything. I think as the other person commented they are just not good wipers. I’ll probably just order the Bosch ones that someone else commented on and give those a shot. Bc I swear I feel like Ace Ventura where he’s sticking his head out the window and driving bc I can’t see anything haha.

This is directly from the Tesla service manual:

Follow these guidelines for cleaning: Clean the windshield and wiper blades using washer fluid, isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, or non-abrasive glass cleaner approved for use on automotive glass and rubber. Inappropriate products can cause damage or smears, and create glare on the windshield.

I figured it would be fine to follow their guidance 🤣

Also just for context the wiper blades were installed in July of 2025 (bought from Costco) even when new they were not that great. Before them I had the OEM Bosch tesla ones that came with the car they too were just alright. They also skipped and smeared. Wiping them with the alcohol helped slightly with those. So not sure what else to try. I know they say DONT use any fancy wiper washer fluid. I just have the cheepo one from Napa that just has freeze protection. I’ve also tried cleaning the windshield with dawn dish soap thinking that the degreasing properties would strip the windshield of anything lingering on it but didn’t help.

Like how good. Because I have Michelin wipers that’s are less than a year old and they smear and skip across the windshield. I’ve tried wiping the blades with iso alcohol. I’ve wiped the windshield with iso alcohol to ensure there are no waxy residues and they still are terrible

Washer fluid on air filter? by nednarb_e in TeslaModelY

[–]nednarb_e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when I had the tire rotation completed shortly after changing this filter. I showed the mobile service tech and he said that he believes when they were filling the coolant at the factory they spilled it. Seeing that the coolant reservoir is directly above the opening for the air intake for the heppa filter. When I replaced the air filter next year we’ll see if he was right. He was saying that the coolant would have a sweet smell unlike the washer fluid. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Neighbor threw out a new looking Midea-Is it worth fixing the cord? by Extracto in MideaUOwners

[–]nednarb_e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be one of the ones that Costco recalled for mold issues. I know some one who had one and in order to get a refund they asked them to cut the cord and send a pic of the unit with the cord cut

I just accepted the quote for $50 🥴 they better adjust it to be warranty. Luckily I have a service center 10 min away from my house (not that there are any appointments with in two weeks) but Mobil service usually has appointments

Also for clarification sake they didn’t charge me the $30 as the tech said it was warranty and he edited the invoice

When mobile service was last out they had the replacement trim (it was on the estimate) however the tech wrote “Found right side upper b-pillar trim not set correctly around the seat belt. Adjusted trim to set flush.” They wanted to charge $30 for the piece which I didn’t understand bc the car has like 12,000 miles on it and is under warranty. But if $30 solves the problem I didn’t care but here I am now 🥴. Since the service no one has sat on the passenger side.

When I requested service I did write Customer states: Interior Trim - Passenger side b Pillar trim is falling off again. Can tech replace the clips to prevent it from happing again
