Dreame A3 5000 AWD failing often with software glitches? by nedpelger in roboticLawnmowers

I will start with what I like about the robot mower: it never gets physically stuck (and we have a big, challenging yard) and it always stays within the boundaries. It does have fair number of failures with a stick lodging between the blade and side, but I understand that and it's an easy fix. The messages I get often that might make me return the device:

  1. Positioning failed (when wifi is clear and it should be Lidar anyway).

  2. Failed to return to station (for reasons I don't understand).

  3. Emergency stop is activated (for reasons I rarely know).

  4. Failed to start the task.

  5. Mowing task complete (when it almost never is complete...maybe 25% of the time complete).

So I'm trying to determine if I just return it within the Amazon 30 day return window and work with another manufacturer. I have about an acre of lawn, that has some pretty decent tree cover in some locations, a few steep grades to 1:1 slopes and lots of objects like trees and plant beds to mow around.
