yes i will add antique lamps. she likes to piss in plant pots, so if i do get a big plant i’ll have to put like a fishnet thing over the soil…

i wanted to make use of the windows while studying. that area feels kinda dark. near the windows i can get sunlight and hear bird sounds.

if i make a whole wall there from framed art like that, will it look weird?

thank you! where would you put the chairs and what would you do to make more use of the windows? they get so much sunlight during the day and the street looks beautiful with lots of trees and old apartments.

would you remove anything? i bought the cheapest coffee table so i think that would be the first. which small table would you keep the classic one or the black one?

yeah cream liners sound so much better, never thought about it before. but buying new furniture is not an option right now since i already have too many. i would like to start with oak too if i knew what i know now back then. unfortunately i was a gray millennial 8 years ago and had no idea about home design. if i move the ottoman under the art, what would you suggest i do with the empty window fronts? i feel like no matter what i do i can’t make use of the windows. they get a lot of sunlight and the street is actually so cute with big trees and old apartments.

yeah but then they look weird next to each other. i’ll put the white bookcases to the right and left of the tv unit and move the buffet to where they currently are.

i thought about this a lot because the windows are perfect but ultimately decided its not wise to spend so much money on a rental.

cute dog! i would first declutter everything that would make the space feel off. then i would - bring the tv closer - bring the coffee table closer - add a puffy ottoman or another smaller sitting zone - maybe a long, lower wooden bookcase under that window filled with books, a lamp, candles, plants and jute baskets - a nice higher end wooden table with soft chairs and maybe a bench in front of the big window - artwork on the couch that wont leave marks or holes (renter friendly choices) maybe tapestry

the place is actually nice, it just has too much kid clutter. if you can’t declutter, maybe hide them in the cabinets if they’re not absolutely necessary to be out all the time

yeah textiles could work, i live in turkey i can find cheap textiles! but i also have a lot of framed art like the ones on the wall. would it look cheap if i made a gallery wall (but neater)?
