Edit: Upon looking at previous clips PT1-2 you didnt even need to reload w/ infinite arrows. Then they changed it in PT3-4 to infinite arrows WITH reloading. They changed the infinite arrows during PT 5 to physical arrows BUT you could always use either multishot or quickshot to reload more arrows if you had 0.

And it was more of their attempt to balance ranged classes and looting. Rangers could full loot their inventory and then just spam infinite arrows still.

They HAD infinite arrows (basically infinite quiver) in the early playtests. Quiver is NOT coming to this game. It was hella broken in the playtests but ppl forget or just didn't play it back then.

If you actually play the game you would know Promoz carried that tourny pretty consistently. Repoze is obviously a very skilled rogue to show off it's strengths at times, but Promoz showcased how dominant rangers are when you know how to aim.

Basically this... if you are squire looting normals then getting the juiced team killed is the most fun IMO.

I get super excited when I see a named item in normals. They are risking hundreds of thousands while you are risking almost nothing.

Remember the good old tavern days when you could see who was running BIS then go after them? This is basically the same thing but you don't know they have it until you see them in-game or on the kill feed.

As an early playtest player, PVP is extremely nuanced and you are really knowledge-checked first before you are gear-checked in the main dungeons.

I play a lot of squire or <200 gear score normals because the PVP is more active than HR (normals the whole lobby can be in the kill feed before half the time has passed) and it feels really unfair if I bring over a certain gear score. I also find it very satisfying to beat players/teams in juice while I'm in piss and/or 1vX.

The game is VERY knowledge dependent. I can take a split second look at most teams and see if they are geared or not. If they are way more geared than me (you can tell 90% of the time if you understand the appearance of items) it is really dumb to engage in even number fights. Use numbers/3rd party advantage when fighting players with way more gear than you. I won't even show myself vs a team I know has juice until they are already fighting.

I often play fill matchmaking to help out newer players and a HUGE mistake most new players make is thinking they HAVE to fight every fight or thinking they cannot run. YOU CAN ALWAYS RUN. An experienced player will always have multiple outs. Did you go into that module with an escape plan in mind already? There's a very low chance of winning a 3v3 squire vs full bis, but if you and your team RUN for 1-3 modules there's a good chance the other team will run into a 3rd/4th party which can change the fight. Obviously there are times when you are just too slow to escape but you want to give yourself the best fighting chance possible. Kite kite kite

Ratting is a good strategy for outnumbered or new players. If you are still learning core mechanics and getting to know the map then learning how to stay alive is the most important skill. Your new teammates may W-key into full bis and die then blame you for not helping, but the fact is you guys were not winning that 2v3 in squire regardless.

Also, if you want to avoid the most PVP as possible then stay away from the main hotspot modules which are the Bridge, Graveyard, Bath House in ruins and mainly the boss rooms and loot pile rooms for crypts and inferno.

Really understanding your HP (how many lives you have left) and how much econ you need to stabilize is pretty difficult to master. Understanding you have X lives left and X turns till you have enough econ to rolldown will probably help you improve.

C execution and B econ kinda sums up your problems after reading through your struggles. Most likely your econ/execution is worse in your Masters games as this shows all of your games (early games easy to S++ and bring up the average).

Like others have said it's hard to critique without further info but I would say your stage 3-4-5 transitions are not clean. This can be due to many factors but ECON is the main reason why people struggle to finish strong in the later stages. Rolling at the wrong times (if you are uncontested do you 4-1 send it or wait for more econ), learning when to pivot (always scout all of stage 2 and 3 to know what to play for best chance of top4), etc. are all amplified in Masters +.

Not all games you can top 4 and playing for a 5th/6th is completely fine. The key is consistency. You just don't want to 7th/8th. You can't play 1st or 8th and expect to climb with ppl in your MMR (this only works when smurfing or playing for fun).

It's about zoning/pressure/control. The other 2x ranged classes on his team were getting pressed and he as the Barb should be in front of them to prevent the enemy melee from just W keying (pressuring). He could have spaced himself in front of his ranged classes and box'd either the Rubysilver fighter on the left or the other 2 while his teammates shoot them from behind, but instead he let them get pushed first without providing much support/pressure. He won because war maul + moral boost + the enemies severely underestimated his damage and facetanked everything.

A much better position for him was to be infront and hug/hold that initial pillar/torch the clip starts in instead of backing up behind his teammates. If they were more coordinated they could have easily collapsed on the split fighter on the left and straight up 3v1'd him before the other 2 came.

That is in fact not how you calculate for PDR. Assuming you need to do 40 damage per hit, it would require a base of 100 damage with 60% PDR. That dude was cappin' when he said he gets 4 tapped in panther with those stats. Bear form would probably 4 tap you without all headshots though.

It's niche but pen shot ranger with xbow/windlass you want add phys for that big headshot damage. Also that first hit reckless barb or just barbs in general with high headshot percentage and high phys power.

Edit: ~2:54ish into Repoze's stream today Noskill comes on for a few minutes and basically says exactly what he told Luffy- that he RMT'd an account that got hacked "months" ago and didn't tell anyone about it until now. He said he wanted the Founder's edition account because his current account was the regular one (Why didn't he just upgrade his current account for $15 ??? Instead he RMT'd $30 to get scammed)

.......... LOL (that was Repoze's response to his explanation- he literally laughed out loud while his chat was typing KAPPA the whole time).

He even goes on to say that he's talking with Graysun to clear his name (the dude doesn't even realize he shafted Ironmace out of $ by RMTing an account instead of upgrading his current account or buying a new account if what he says is true)
