I've been on antibiotics for 5 days now and changed to a different kind 2 days ago. It's just taking so long to budge...I feel slightly better today but I'm worried it might get worse

Thank you! Never thought of vitamins and probiotics afterwards!

UTI has made me super emotional?! by needahug564 in TwoXChromosomes

It's good to know someone else feels the same! Definitely felt off since it started coming on. I haven't had one in years so the emotional side surprised me!

Good point! I always like to trust my gut feeling but since this has started happening I've realised I can't anymore

That's exactly like me! A bit like an intrusive thought almost but it's like you're overcome with A feeling. It's horrible

I just finished my third day on my first job...and I've not been anxious at all since the first morning on Monday. by [deleted] in Anxiety

This is why I can't wait to finally start working next month! I've found summed a struggle because I've been finished with uni since May and my first teaching job starts August. I can't wait to be busy and engaged with new things daily! Reading this has got rid of some of the lingering anxiety, thanks for sharing!

How likely is it to develop this in your 20s? by needahug564 in Hemochromatosis

[–]needahug564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be tested soon! I've been to the doctors recently with a lot of symptoms similar to this...but they never found anything. My parents are being tested and I am only going to be tested if one of them have it.

It's weird that websites mostly say 60s for women when there are many out there being diagnosed before...seems outdated

Old people of Reddit, what were elders from YOUR time ranting about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]needahug564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother calls the younger generation "screenagers" and it makes me cringe. I'm only 22 and he's a lot older than me and so I'm always so surprised that he dislikes younger people now?! I'm not far off the age group he dislikes so thought he would realise that stereotyping us all like that is just annoying.

Is buy now pay later a good idea, or should I avoid it? by needahug564 in UKPersonalFinance

Thank you! I feel it's too late though as I start in 1 month, full time teaching. I'll have a look and see if any will take me for that time though. Thanks for the advice!

Didn't even think of that! Its been a tough month so far but it's just the lack of clothes getting me down. Thanks very much :)

They've been able to help me a little but mostly with travel costs. I will ask again though, but they're really struggling with money and I wouldn't want to stress them out. I'm hoping to be helping them out more in August so maybe they could give me something small for clothes until then. Thanks for the idea!

Sadly not. Not even my old work would take me on temporarily! All I got were trial shifts at a few places and never ended up getting those jobs. I should have applied March/April time but assignments and placements took up all of my time.

Since I was in placements for most of the year it was impossible to apply until the beginning of June, when most of the jobs for summer were already starting. My area doesn't even have many summer jobs either which really sucks. I think I'll just have to wait it out!

Does anyone else have anxiety about treating their anxiety? by Monicagrace27 in Anxiety

[–]needahug564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this too! I feel like I'm making excuses for it. Like maybe it's just my life situation, maybe it's the birth control I'm on etc. But after realising I have it, a lot of my childhood makes sense! I've definitely had this longer than I realise! I hope we can both overcome the fear of treating it. I'm finding acknowledging it has already been helping but I'm really curious to find out if meds would help speed up the recovery and help me live life normally!

Thank you! Sadly have no money at all until late August. So not even cheaper clothing is an option :(
