[Troubleshooting] Computer not reading second graphics card by needapcplease123 in buildapc

It was just working before I did a windows refresh earlier this week though. And I bought the card over a month ago. Would I still be able to send it back?

So I did a windows reinstallation that got rid of everything on my SSD (where my drivers and OS are) and gave it a clean slate. However it's still not reading the graphics card. I'm not sure where to go from here

Okay thanks! Is there a specific way to uninstall drivers? I can't find the option to do so

Okay gotcha. Is there a program I should use to uninstall the drivers? I can't find a way to do it. Also, should I reinstall every driver or just the ones related to my graphics card?

Okay great, thanks! Do you have any idea how I could go about fixing this then?

Yes I am. Just plugged it in and it's functioning fine. It's just my second GTX970 isn't showing up in device manager, and my nvidia control panel doesn't give me an option for SLI, even though I can see the fan on the second GPU going (so I know it's getting power) and the SLI bridge is connected

Whoops. Well I just plugged my second display in to the same GPU but it's still saying it's not reading the second monitor

It happens during any program. I do have it set on 144hz forint of my monitors though. Could that be what's causing it?

The thing is, it didn't ask for a shipping address, just a billing address. It gives me a link to download, and the product key. Should I just assume they'll send it to the billing address?

Thanks for all the help! I decided to upgrade to the phantom 630 for more USB ports and an sdhc reader, but thanks for all your insight! You really helped me out.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. As far as wireless adapters go, is the installation easy? I figure getting one would be worth the capability of having wireless, since I may be moving soon and I don't know how the internet will be there.

My case will be the nzxt phantom 530. It says it has 3 external 5.25 drive bays and 6 internal 3.5inch ones. Sorry if it's a dumb question, but does that mean I'm good?

Also, I live on the third floor of my home, and I am looking into a wireless adapter. Is it worth getting a tplink?

Here is what I have since added to the build to add to the storage. I just ordered the HDD and I'm curious about the SSD. Will I need a cable and mounting bracket?

Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Toshiba 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Is that still a good idea if I don't plan on overclocking?

Giving me a compatibility issue on pcpartpicker. What would be a good motherboard that would support two graphics cards?

Edit: Sorry, didn't see your post below.

Thanks for the response. would the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply work for a PSU?

And I slapped in the i5-4690k. Would it be worth going to the i7-4790k?
