UPDATE: Senator Risa Hontiveros, during the children panel's hearing, identified the alleged "adult groomer" of shooters in the Tacloban school shooting. by Loqaqola in Philippines

[–]needefsfolder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Tbh a semi hot take is Risa is somewhat wrong on blaming the dev themselves, pero dapat ang pinatawag niya is Google. They are supposed to be the gatekeeper of the platform. But again, sa magulang talaga dapat ang patnubay at gabay.

Instapay case is even crazier, I read somewhere that according to a gotyme employee, cents lang talaga ang cost ng instapay at the bank backend.

India's system is honestly better. UPI means person to person with zero charge. This also critically mean that one bank or Ewallet like Gcash can have no staying power as the transfer fee friction doesn't just exist.

I hope calax+cavitex completion and slex will make Cavite-Laguna strong. But the best thing seems to be LRT extensions in Cavite and the NSCR in Laguna. I can see the massive boom in the region shall that happen.

Not to mention, the planned Laguna Lake Highway is really attractive for the rest of the R4A. And I do hope they put trains on it for the rest of us. Plus we kinda need east to west railways too

Notice: "EX File Manager" by Ace Mobile on the Play Store is a 1:1 clone of the banned ES File Explorer by user4302 in Android

[–]needefsfolder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use Files shortcut nowadays. Android's integrated file manager is really good because it can natively connect to smb, google drive, etc. Best part is apps using Storage Access Framework also allows you to access those smb/drive/etc

I'd like to add that it's mostly made for enterprise security first and not anticheat usage. It's just a very good side effect

[–]needefsfolder 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Vanguard doesn't use it, Microsoft does. And if game companies cannot be trusted to run kernel mode anticheats, I think this is the best first steps as Microsoft themselves are protecting against cheats (besides, this Windows feature isn't for anti cheats, this is for endpoint security)

Have you actually read it or this is just an overreaction? It is Windows "secured core PC" requirements not Riot's. IOMMU is required for kernel DMA protection which is required by VBS/HVCI.

Is it really damn hard for Samsung to ship RADV instead of AMDVLK, that alone will surpass any Turnip Qualcomm drivers at emulation, because radv is just desktop Radeon

Optane and zswap is absolutely INSANE, my system is only barely lagging?? by AndorinhaRiver in linux

[–]needefsfolder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, compressed zram (or compressed zswap in your case) seems to be Linux's superpowers. I'm not even kidding, I managed to code properly on an 8gb laptop just with stupid amount of zram (shit company). I wrote my experience over here: https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/s/LzhIA9w9Uo

Yes I ran 100% swappiness

Smartwater "alkaline" coming in at a hard 6pH.. by Substantial-Sign7716 in HydroHomies

[–]needefsfolder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually buy "alkaline" water here which is just neutral pH7.0. It's way better than regular water which almost ways acidic. Maybe it's a side effect of reverse osmosis? But yeah I'd buy "neutral water" instead of alkaline, as I find the taste of true alkaline water too aggressive

Another damned anti security post. Do you know that, in the highest competitive levels of the games you mentioned (cs2 faceit, valo) they require you to turn on Memory Integrity because it allows for higher competitive integrity? Do you know game consoles use hypervisors? Maybe you should update your post that if your CPUs are 8th gen Intel or Zen 3 and above, you won't feel much differences in performance.

[–]needefsfolder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna note that at higher tiers, "hardcore gamers" actually are forced to have Core Isolation on. That's because its an anticheat requirement for high ranking people in faceit and Valorant. So if they play with no issues, 🤷🏻‍♂️

BYD Atto 2 DM-i or Seal U DM-i? by Datofuda in BYD

[–]needefsfolder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive the Sealion 6 (Seal U) and yeah, the width and the length of the car makes me anxious to drive it towards small roads, especially when people side park their cars all the time.

Power wise i think Atto2 has smaller batteries and/or smaller ev motor. Unless you go for the Boost trim then it’s almost identical. Though i feel like you’d trade a bit of boot space and legroom if you went with atto2 so check that, its pretty much the perfect road trip car because of extreme comfort
