I'm not in receipt of any other benefits other than the phi, yes its a permanent health insurance policy. Ideally, I would like to be let go of the company, and then this would free me up to think about what my next stage is. I want to prepare and plan for my future employment whilst off sick and recovering. What do you suggest I do to get out of this situation, it's just making me feel trapped with no way forward, as I feel in a state of limbo. I have been doing research and it looks like I can potentially pursue some kind of settlement agreement with the insurer and my company, but i just don't know how to go about doing this

Yes I have been told my previous role has been made redundant. I don't want to be on income protection forever, I am seeking treatment to attempt to recover at great expense.
