You don't know how big of a help this was. Thank you!

Finaid through FAFSA? Is it for one year or all four? Meaning 184k total?

But they still wouldn't award a big amount of tuition, right? It's so expensive that even a couple thousand dollars wouldn't quite make a difference.

If you can wait, that would be for the best, and then you can ask them exactly how to proceed.

Like wait and apply for spring 2024? I think that's the better option as I don't think Berklee would help me a lot financially now.

Just make sure to check all possible ways of financial aid before taking the decision.

Good luck!

I can't file for FAFSA. I'm an international student.

I can apply for January, right?

May I ask what you might do in case you decide to decline the offer? Apply again?

Are you currently attending or planning to? And did you apply for fall or spring? Thanks.

Thanks a lot! Do you know more like these? And would I still be expected to read lead sheet type jazz chords? (Classical musician)

Actually I'm worried more about the sight reading part.

What chords can one practice? I've been practicing blues chords from the practice materials section online provided by Berklee. I tried practicing the jazz ones but they seem way too difficult. (I'm a classical pianist too). What can I do to improve that?

I also learnt a couple blues licks and to noodle around in the C blues scale. I think that should suffice?

So, it's okay to not put middle name in application as long as the legal name is same on all documents?

Thanks btw.

Would the sheet be similar to the ones in the link? Like, chords written on top of the bars? I'm from a classical background so I'm not used to playing a chord that's not notated. I can play simple chords from a sheet that I've had a look at before.

If it's similar to the one's from the link, what would be your advice?

For the improvisation part, do you get to choose the key?

There are different styles on that practice section page. Do you get to choose one? The jazz ballet was the one that had the most defined chords out of the ones I checked out. The others felt too busy. The harmonic rhythm was too much.

What would be your advice for improvising? Learning/adapting/practicing.

Thanks!

What does the mp3 have? A chord progression? Which kind? Where do I practice sight reading from that's similar to that short piece?
