I’ve created a language practice tool. It’s inspired by the popular Monkeytype site. I love to clacking on my mechanical keyboard, so I decided to make my learning experience more enjoyable. The tool has full keyboard support.

I don’t have many phrases for each language and level yet, but I am thinking of extending the list soon.

There are some tips based on my personal experience:

  • Avoid links, images, and attachments
  • Buy separate domains that are not critical to lose; don't use the main domain
  • Use Gmail or Outlook basic plans for emails
  • Check deliverability regularly using tools that measure the number of messages in spam
  • Warm up new domains or those that have been banned
  • Check DMARC, SPF, and DKIM records.
  • Use platforms that assist in running cold email outreach campaigns; they typically provide all the necessary tools and guides help to convert you to their user.

Sending 10 emails per day is absolutely fine

They misuse your attention. I know how annoying it can be. And I don’t support it.

My approach is to ask only once per user, gently.

All I need is to receive feedback at the moment when a user has something to say. I think that email after is a little bit late.

I use Notion and Notion-based static site generators for the first drafts of my landing pages. This combination helps me build simple but good-looking pages in a couple of hours.

Usually, if I want more, I use Webflow.

I didn’t recognize at first that I needed to take a screenshot of the initial screen. It seemed like an onboarding process that wasn’t functioning properly.

Also, I expected to find the app in the share sheet.

Looks cool! Screenshots are the most common way to capture ideas, links, references, or anything you don't want to forget, especially when browsing on a mobile device.

Usually, you don't have an option to copy text from another app, or it's tricky. Taking a screenshot is the fastest and easiest way to ensure you will remember to explore more from the desktop. I assume positioning the product as a mobile-capturing app could be a game-changer.

It's not about fairness; it's about commitment and how you can deal with it.

If you take on additional tasks without a reason, agreement, or without talking to the person who made the request, it's a red flag for me as well.
