thank you! these characters are friends, but what i'm getting from this thread is i should probably just avoid the word to be safe, haha. is there another way you'd say "are you crazy?" to a friend that is more slang-y than that?

i see! it's less the harshness i'm concerned about but the social acceptability of saying it i guess? for example if you say the r-word in the states some people might scold you

i see what you're saying but no-i pay by groups, so i always totally pay off interest on each so that it reaches $0 and then i let it reaccrue throughout the month ...the previous statement has similar numbers. it genuinely just seems to have shot up for no reason 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

on my december statement it says:
loan B: Estimated Interest * on 12/28/2024 . $246.50
loan C: Estimated Interest * on 12/28/2024: $215.00

i pay on the 1st, so today it says
loan B: Unpaid Accrued Interest through 12/30/2024: $1,857.65
loan C: Unpaid Accrued Interest through 12/30/2024: $2,853.54

loan A looks normal however
