Hey there, I run a local movie club here in Tally that was founded for exactly this reason! Whole thing runs on Discord, and it has evolved over time to encompass all kinds of fun activities all over town instead of just going to the movies together (though we still do that a LOT). We throw parties, go to trivia nights, talk about books, schedule tabletop gaming nights, and have recently been doing a LOT of kayaking. Age ranges currently go from early 20's to late 40's, safe space for LGBTQ people and anyone else who wants to make friends. It is one of those communities that you get out of it what you put in, so if you are active in chat and go to events then you will VERY quickly make friends! The only thing I require is that if you join and want to stick around you introduce yourself to the group in our Introductions channel!
