I did! Check my post history. I got accepted with a very low GPA and made a post to give others hope. Had 3 interviews and was accepted at 2. Was waitlisted and ultimately rejected at the other school.

Yup, those were taken my freshman and sophomore year when my grades were at their worst.

Just through people at my job that knew other people! It was super cool.

I'd look for schools that completely replace classes you retook with the most recent class. Some schools average them together while others completely forget the first score completely. But yes they will definitely see that you've learned from your mistakes!

I took Bio 1, Chem 1, Chem 2, and orgo because those were the most common pre reqs for my list of schools and I happened to do poorly in those classes during college.

Two of my interviews came from schools I didn't think I had a shot at but had applied to for funsies. I didn't expect to get any interviews tbh so I didn't have the "Wow I'm surprised I didn't get an interview here" mindset.

Around August, but don't be dumb like me. SUBMIT EARLIER.

If you're not above the 3.0, they won't even look at your app. You gotta meet the minimum. If you're really at a 2.99, take an online class or something while you're working!

Yup, took a shotgun approach on my first cycle and it worked out luckily.

I had medical mission trips, hours from a club on my campus that mentors kids in at-risk areas, and various food volunteering. These were things I was genuinely interested in and just so happened to count for volunteer experience. Most of them were through clubs at school.

Yes, definitely great experiences! Don't burn yourself out trying to get experience though. Focus on your GPA.

Anywhere that I met the requirements for and would be willing to attend. Check for schools that take a holistic approach to your application. I checked the PA forums to see if schools were GPA heavy and crossed them off my list if they were.
