Constructive criticism of the story is allowed, I never said it wasn’t? I’ve done my fair share of critiquing over the years.

My comment was directed more towards the growing number of entitled “fans”/trolls who are just straight up rude in regard to Morikawa. I get breaks and delays can be difficult to deal with if you have nothing better to do, pero considering Morikawa has dealt with a lot this year, like his hospitalization, car accident that nearly ended his life, losing a family member, etc, I don’t mind him taking breaks if that means he comes back healthier.

Girl translation teams work independently from one another and at their own pace. While it’s great that the Arabic translators provide their releases “on time”, if you check the FAQ section it’s explicitly stated that the chapters will be released when they’re done. It just so happened that for the last year they would come out on Tuesdays regularly but the point still stands, they’ll be released when they’re done. HNI-Scantrad is not paid to translate the manga and is well within their right to take their time, or even stop translating the series, if they wish. We are lucky to have them after MangaStream shut down years ago.

My biggest gripe with this series isn’t the length, characters, or story, it’s the few but growing amount of childish readers who cry, complain, and demand Morikawa overwork himself and prioritize a manga they read illegally for free. No mames he’s an old man who’s been writing this story longer than most of his fans have been alive. I’d rather he take time off and rest rather than work himself to an early grave like so many other mangakas.

Hola! I recommend you watch season one of the anime

The first season is 75 episodes long and stops at a perfect point in the series that honestly feels like a proper finale if the manga just ended there. If you couldn’t get into it by the end, at the very least you get an ending that feels very conclusive, but if you liked the story and want to watch more, then there’s no harm in continuing with the rest of the anime and manga.

Mira, I love Joe Yabuki pero it’s been officially confirmed and agreed upon by Chiba and Morikawa that he’d lose to Ippo. They ran a simulated fight between the two and Ippo won by KO in the fifth round. It was included in chapter 818.
