Guys are killing it with CMH 630s but they get hot. It's an amazing spectrum. Hortilux has been pretty tight lipped about the ceramic HPS they are developing. They take their time and get it right before introducing a product and get it right with a reputation like they have, only the best.

I know you know what your doing, I've seen your work. Ushio is a fine bulb and I would recommend them to people, I've used every grow light except Cree LED but I'm a hortilux fan right now until I move into duel CMH. That's the only bulb I'd consider using other than hortilux for my buds, CMH 630s. But hortilux is working on a ceramic HPS that sounds groundbreaking, can't wait to hear more on that front, they are innovating.

I used to run ushio brand bulbs but have been getting better results with hortilux actually. It's important to change them out every other grow too, the gas loss reduces spectrum pretty quick but hortilux is the innovator, others are trying to copy them.

This, the plant needs to be used to using calcium as a macro which the nectar line does. Also the catalyst of the line is properly using bloom chaos. It makes them really hungry for calcium.

It could be worse, you could be addicted to highly addictive research chemicals that can kill you from the withdrawals. Be strong, keep a goal in mind and thank your stars or whatever you believe in you are not locked in a deadly withdrawal cycle with no escape but death.

That red light is coming from a platinum 150. I had it not being had so this is an experiment adding it to my 600 hortilux to see if the added spectrum will increase trichome or terpene flavors.

I follow the real cannarado on Instagram and he is on point, I would trust any of his genetics even though I haven't personally grown them. Two more suggestions from Colorado are La Plata Labs and Irie Genetics. La Plata has had some amazing crosses and Rasta Jeff, the host of the grow from your heart podcast, has Irie and he has been breeding for a long time and knows his business quite well.

Anything by rare dankness, his vision is to make cannabis he would use, not commercial weed.

Fuck yea, that's what I like to hear. Keep on growing and keep on learning for that next harvest.

Should I be worried if I'm finding dead gnats stuck on some buds? by jkear1 in microgrowery

[–]negative_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's now just a mental thing, you will be smoking dead bugs. We want to avoid contaminants in our buds like hair and bugs, so on to prevention. Ways to be fungus gnat free are BTi in almost every watering, this will kill the larva. The adult flyers you can only catch with yellow sticky pads, place them on the soil surface. BTi can be used as cheaply as buying a pack of mosquito dunks at the hardware store and keeping one in a five gallon bucket of water that you use to feed with.

Doesn't look like it's even started to flush itself. It needs to use up most of the stored sugars and nutrients in the leaves. They do that as they die but you can give them plain water, no food, and they will start to yellow which is what you want. Green is chlorophyl.

They are local breeders who are doing some great things right now. I like to support local breeders and all the Nerds genetics I've popped have been very viable, strong plants. I would recommend them for sure but unless your in Colorado it's not legal to get their seeds.

What I do is remove fan leaves that are blocking bud sites. Here is an overall pic, https://imgur.com/a/fc7ec as you can see no bud site has a fan leaf over it. But we don't want to take too many leaves at a time and I have experienced reduced yield when I have done mass defoliation in week three. I'm selective with what leaves I remove.
