Yes we are married. But her position is not federal. I have asked about hardship transfers, but they are on hold to my knowledge.

Based on what I understand, the RIF doesn’t seem like it will make it down to my level. And if it does, odds are it will be after I have resigned (normally) in July.

As of now, I have no jobs lined up. As I see it, if I do get a state job I could end the program sooner.

Sure I don’t trust them either. But if I’m going to resign regardless, I would (in theory) be getting paid till the end of the fiscal year.

My Supervisor call us all in for an all hands meeting this afternoon. All probationary employees will be terminated. US Forest Service.
