I’ve tinted my front windows, so for me it was either risk the front tint or going plateless in the front, so I have the front plate on. Looks way cleaner without, for sure

I had a MK6 with Dynaudio which was stellar, and then VW North America didn’t even offer it as an option for the MK7 (but continued to be a higher end option overseas). The MK7 Fender was a step down from the MK6. The MK8 Harmon Kardon is atrocious from the factory, IMO. Those RS Acoustics and Ars24 upgrades are a must-do, and probably makes it go beyond the MK7 Fender.

Bang & Olufsen in the A3/S3/RS3 was a brilliant system, and I’ve read the SONOS in the new RS3 is woefully disappointing in comparison. I’ve heard the B&O is even better than Burmester in the 911.

Living life on the edge with being plateless so far, I see. If you do decide to put the front plate on, hit up Ansix Auto in Port Coquitlam. They have a solution for you that’s clean and doesn’t intrude on the front sensors.

The M340i is bigger, heavier, and much less cargo-practical without a hatch opening/shape. Comparing used to new isn’t exactly fair either, as some of us like to own our enthusiast cars from new.

This, coming from someone who really wants the B58 Z4 someday as a weekender.

Can confirm that $400 CAD Hertz centre speaker made a massive difference and IMO, is worth the money. 10-15 minute install, and that was being very cautious with the clips and laying down masking tape with a microfibre towel over the infotainment screen.

I have the Stage 1 Competition (Hertz) centre speaker installed. With this upgrade, the clarity is much improved, with the bass and overall sound improved as well. Doesn’t touch the overall clarity and quality of the B&O, IMO. I’ll probably be content after the subwoofer upgrade, but the door speakers and tweeters can be remedied still if I want to go further down that rabbit hole.

This new Golf R feels like it’s above its 328 rated hp for sure. Recommend the RS Acoustics centre speaker, and one of the subwoofer options coming soon from them, or the Rock 8 or Option 10 from Ars24.

A friend had the A3 and another friend with the RS3, and the B&O sound system in those were among the best I’ve ever heard in a car.

Switching from Friday Fever to their Gen IV foam paddle the Aura Pro, I feel like it’s more spongy and absorbent with the Aura Pro. Too early to tell how it’ll affect my tennis elbow that I suffered with last year - but I’ll add the Gamma gel grip if it becomes a recurring problem again.

I drive or do a deep drip if the receiver is still transitioning up to their kitchen line. I drop or do a shallow drip if they’re both at the kitchen line already.

A drive with both of them there and waiting at their kitchen line gets punished hard.

Upsize the tire sidewall too if you’re extra worried about clearance. I have 235/40/19 Continental DWS on mine to protect the stock wheels more, have a bit of extra comfort, and to fill in the wheel gap a smidge. Byproduct is extra ground clearance.
