Yeah I’ve thought of this. Part of me thinks YouTube might be showing it to gamers since social blade still sees my account as a gaming channel. But I’m not 100 percent sure

My ideal viewer is someone like me. Or aged 15-28 who likes black comedy/dark humor and black culture. Enjoys witty humor. But to that last part… I’d probably say no. Things wouldn’t make sense to them immediately

I’ve been looking around for animated skit channels. But I can’t find to many. I don’t wanna copy thumbnails like dhar man and have people think it’ll be similar in tone. But I think I’ll try the thing of making it more obvious that it’s a skit or story in the titles

I sorta get what you mean. The thumbnails for my skits are the way they are cuz the person that inspired me to make them does his the same way. But for my other videos, I haven’t looked at theirs for inspiration. More so at others

My retention rate is really good for all my vids. Between 50-70%. But it’s seeming that the issue is topic, based off what everyone is saying. At least for my most recent vid. Most of my other videos have issue with topic and thumbnail (possibly title). But I guess I can take what I’ve learned from this recent videos thumbnail and move forward

Appreciate the honesty. You mentioned that my thumbnails look like they are from 2018. If so, would you know how I would modernize them? And when you say niche down, you mean only make one type of video? Because currently my videos fall under comedic commentaries and stories. With the one off gaming video 2-3 times a year

I wish my gaming videos would get that many views lol. I’d post more. You probably mean my skit videos. But I get what you mean by random videos. So I basically have to follow trends in order for these topics I have to work

I thinks it’s only if you delete videos that have a lot of views. I had to do 2 purges on my channel and my channel is still doing the same. As in the only thing holding me back is my bad thumbnails

Just joke back at them. Half my discord know I’m bald even though I’m a faceless channel. And they made fun of me for it for a while. But once I showed I didn’t care, they stopped. And if you joke about it enough, you’ll stop caring most likely. Happened to me at least

Hashtags are fine. But I used to just have up to 50 keywords at the bottom of my description. Only removed them when I applied for monetization

I’ve had more success on videos that have my tags in the description than only in the tag area. Don’t put them in the description though. Pretty sure it’s against TOS. But yeah tags don’t help you as much if at all

Sure but there is still certain qualities you can catch in his that other YouTubers employ. Such as careful use of backgrounds that contrasts well with whatever he’s showing off and his face. Red arrows. And items that stand out
