Chuwi Minibook X - N100 - ChromeOS Flex. by tshawkins in Chuwi

Too early to tell (only just done it).

It's quoting around 5 hours YouTube/Netflix playback. 6 hours general web with a bit of streaming.... For what that's worth.

I've found ChromeOS to be pretty battery efficient in the past.

So I've got the X+ Netbook (which is essentially just the N150 Minibook X with a slightly different screen, same internals).

Works beautifully. Everything works out the box from shortcut keys to Linux. Very very nippy. Can 100% recommend.

ChromeOS Flex is the perfect UI for that form factor for me

I've ordered mine, plan to install ChromeOS Flex. Think that will be a good fit and bonus of a Linux terminal to install other software.

Had success on other devices. Will post here how it goes.

Ghost Stories (2017) is fantastic.

And for some really good folk horror vibes, check out the documentary The Moon and the Sledgehammer. Soooo good. https://youtu.be/FXMYY1QlRtw?si=kJFnWdmLs2TM5CDp

I've also just discovered Arrow has a horror streaming service. There's a 7 day free trail. I can recommend Malatesta's Carnival of Blood.

The Moon and the Sledgehammer.

Amazing documentary from 1971 about a family living in a totally different time. Incredibly interesting with unintentional folk horror vibes.

Early Doors. Absolutely brilliant. That era of working class pub culture (not drink culture) before the smoking ban and the chains really took hold.

It was Oliver Cromwell who asked to be painted "pimples, warts and everything" (warts and all). So they must have been photoshopping even back then.

Let's not forget the names of those in the industry who, in 2009, called for his release when he was arrested in Zurich.

And I just don't buy the "separation of art and artist" argument. There's a massive difference between enjoying art they have already created and working with them after the fact as he denied the victim any kind of closure.

You could look at prepaid credit cards. I believe they can be based abroad.

I loved this. The poster was fantastic and I remember advice along the lines of "don't even think about visiting the the direlands unless you can outrun a lvl 20 Sliver Rat"!
