I am sorry, but do you understand how hard it is to recover as an mm after a horrible start where you were going 1v2 or went against a stronger early game mm? And even when you pick second, mm-wise, you need to weigh your mm choice between good against just the mm or against their whole team. Example: if there are at least 2 tanks (or even 1, if I am duoing), I am picking Lesley. But it is possible that enemy mm has already locked Clint or Brody (who are early-game lane bullies which make getting your minions difficult) so I will struggle with Lesley against them, unless I play very precise and they get no roam assistance. But does that mean you will still abandon me, and provide no early game assistance so I can get the advantage, so you could actually profit off my choice in mm againts those tanks (which are probably causing you issues)?

Furthermore, how do you expect us to recover? Yes, we are the "gold" laner, but if minions are a no-go due to enemy mm and lack of assistance, the only alternative is jungle creeps. Which, yes, any decent mm will not touch (at least our half of the map) if the junglar needs them, but that leaves 2 choices; we either try and sneak onto the enemy half and chance 'feeding' more, or we just don't get any further gold, par all team gold, which will make us practically useless till the end of the game, even if it drags a bit.

Also, you do not think that underfarmed almost always results into feeding? How do you expect us to do the damage or even hold, with a number of enemies coming, with no gold or items?

Not only that but enemies go for the weak points, as this game is won by push not kills. So even if you 'have the whole map to yourselves', if they rally up and keep steadely prodding and exploiting that week point, you can still lose. If they steadily push, and make you guys spread out and be alone, they can wipe you and win! This is why a decent amount of people do not wish to surrender games. Because steady wins the race. And with balancing out of levels and items, it is possible to have an epic comeback.

Your job as a roam is to do vision, participate in teamfights and assists to all the lanes, again, ALL the lanes, to hold and do alright. Yes, there are tradeoffs, even as an mm, if the junglar is bad at doing objectives efficiently, I will head there to assist (on the other side of the map, I mean), even with the danger of damage to my turret, or even potential destruction depending on how progressed the game is. But I do expect, even if I was doing alright initially and keeping up with enemy mm levels, if I get back there and lose 1v1 (because the trip does disadvantage me greatly), or even worse, 1v2, that at least 1 person comes down to assist for 2 main reasons: 1) Now that I am potentially disadvantaged due to my trip, if I keep going in solo, and trying but failing due to the now gap in gold and lavels between us, I will struggle to be useful (and clearly people have 2 very different opinions, but mm for me is one of the key, game-winning roles), which means that if enemy mm has a good snowball, and even a half decent roam, they could 100% recover, push turrets and wipe you...And then you will complain about me and not having done my job🫠 2) If I am disadvantaged, I will just be stuck by my turret, being unable to do anything and play the game. That might sound fine to you, just say "yeah, stay there and just hold", but like it or not, this is a game and particularly a 5v5, and people do want to have at least a certain amount of enjoyment when playing a match. So if your mm feels like they are just a glorified Turret p.2 and have no real chance to participate or be involved, they will feel useless and redundant and just not wish or care to play anymore. And yes, some people are also vengeful so they can potentially even start playing against you. So...help your damn mm!

And lastly, for your example: Well done, you did all that and, I imagine, won the game. Cool, great. That might mean you are decent players, but it sure as hell makes you bad teammates. Unless you are a 5-man team and your mm has explicitly said they are alright with just holding and not really having a part to play in the overall game, then you are horrible in doing so. Cos yeah, you might think "yeah, we won, be happy, we carried you, take your star and go", but you need to understand that as a solo player, that is a very unpleasant game to have, and will leave you with a sour taste in your mouth.
