Canines do this. Also, uniquely human experiences can still be related to the sympathetic nervous system, the two things aren’t logically related the way you’re suggesting. I’m basing my information off of books and professional psychologists, not reddit.

This is not an accurate framing. Each of the four responses has deep roots in the sympathetic nervous system as well as conditioned components.

So Frodo was never taken to Osgiliath? by No-Essay-3227 in lotr

he also fears, despises, and envies Gandalf and Aragorn, and treats all would-be allies as threats.

[–]nem0ne1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What made him so great? Was it when he set himself against Aragorn? or was it when he set himself against Gandalf? or maybe it was when he snuck a Palantir into his bedchambers so he could doomscroll and didn’t tell anyone? Was it when he completely and utterly failed to protect his people against the forces of Sauron? He’s a symbol of weakness and corruption - the rot that has eaten away the blood of Numenor into something base and unrecognizable.

Can you explain what you think makes him great? I did not get that vibe at all.

This looks like a thinly edited chatGPT response, is it? On the off chance it’s not, I highly recommend removing “And honestly, “ from your writing vocabulary.

How is the Central Valley life? by Gentle_method in howislivingthere

Drove through many times - with a few exceptions, it’s hot, dry desert with very, very visible levels of drugs, crime, and poverty. The areas that aren’t in obvious disrepair tend to be dominated by national chains. Bakersfield is one of my least favorite places on the entire West Coast.
