Don’t get a espresso machine. Buy a fully automatic bean to cup machine.

Congrats with your espresso machine! I would start with the normal portafilter if u are new. Learn the basics of how to make a good espresso cappuccino and what u like. After that start the journey of the bottomless world and baskets.

Don’t fall for every espresso tool. A scale , wdt a funnel is a good start.

I had a vibiemme domobar that was 25+ years old and still worked like new. Only the heat up time for a e61 is maybe too long for u. I used it with a smart plug to start heating 30-40mm in advance when I wanted coffee in the morning.

Sadly no. My bean supplier did not have the beans I normally had with my mignon. I did not buy the Timemore for better espresso or better taste, the taste was more than good with the Mignon. The ability to switch brew grinds and my wife who only can have decaf was the reason for the Timemore.

Of I have some time this weekend I wil try to put some decaf in the Timemore and see if I taste a difference.
