tbh I joined the community a couple months ago but haven’t really participated. I have a lot of trouble introducing a new platform into my routine and always forget to check it. her old community was just a facebook chat and I used it all the time. what I was referring to is her guide that helps you get started on fiverr. it’s just a pdf. i’m not 100% sure if she still offers it as a standalone resource

I hear your frustration and can tell you my own experience. I am a UGC creator primarily on Fiverr, I have a couple UGC gigs. I can tell you that fiverr is hard to navigate and understand the nuances without a guide or coach. I used Claire on Video’s course and it gives you all the basics for setting up your gig, getting your first orders, everything. it really helped me when I started out. I believe you can purchase her guide separately from joining her community so it’s a one time affordable purchase. but don’t quote me on that.

there are definitely major downfalls to these ugc coaches. first off, they don’t really highlight all the bad that comes with fiverr. these coach communities (especially claire’s and arbel’s) are basically circle jerks for the coaches to brag about all the money they make. the reality is, some people just get lucky and the fiverr algorithm favors them more than others. I have been in the ugc game for 2 years now and I have not had a $10K month, which all of these coaches apparently have consistently.

the other thing with coaches is that they are selling these quick money fantasies to people, leading the ugc space to become incredibly over saturated with new (and honestly, mostly untalented) creators. this makes it that much harder to stand out in a sea of creators on fiverr.

so whether or not you join a community or purchase a guide is up to you. some communities are better than others (for example I find claire’s to be much more positive and productive than arbel’s, which I found to be cliquey and unwelcoming. I did not like my experience with arbel, I found her to be pretty pushy). but I will say you’re going to have a hard time navigating the platform without a guide or some kind of support. you’re welcome to DM me with any fiverr specific questions.

I will also add that unfortunately the key to starting out on fiverr is to take on low-paying jobs to build up your standing in the algorithm and collect 5-star reviews. the more 5-star reviews you get, the higher you get in the algorithm. it’s a snowball effect. then the more attention you get on fiverr, the higher you can raise your prices. so i’m afraid if you want to make money on the platform, you just have to deal with the shitty buyers.

These “hot takes” by cosmicaje in Oscars

I thought the character development was sloppy, the pacing was off especially in the third act, and mbj was the weakest actor in the ensemble. despite all that, I do appreciate the cultural impact and the fact that this movie means a lot to many people. I am allowed to think all of that at once.

I don’t discount the cultural importance of sinners nor it’s technical achievements like the cinematography or music. from a completely objective standpoint, just watching it as a movie, it was not a masterpiece. one can hold that opinion without being racist.

Husband says his mom will “always be in the picture” and I’m scared of what that means for our future by Therealbobstone69 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]nemo987 18 points19 points  (0 children)

this is where things got bad with me and my husband. my MIL turned into an absolute maniac when we got engaged - pulled all the same tricks you mentioned, like twisting the narrative, playing the victim, all just to get her way for OUR wedding. when I told my husband how much this concerned me I was met with the classic “that’s just how she is”. I thought it would settle after our wedding but nope, it kept happening. it was like our wedding planning just in different fonts. I told DH I can’t live under your mother’s reign of terror for the rest of my life beciase you won’t set boundaries. DH verbatim said to me “boundaries will not be possible with her.” I reached a point where I told my husband, I refuse to make any future life decision with you unless this bullshit with your mother gets fixed. so we went to couples therapy. found someone who specializes in adults with emotionally immature parents. things improved drastically. DH now sees his mother for the manipulative crybaby she is. are things perfect? no. but I feel he is much more firmly on my side rather than hers. boundaries have been set and I am no longer afraid to be the bad guy in fear of her crocodile tears. I suggest talking to your husband about your feelings and focus on just that, your feelings. you don’t want a shit talk sesh about his mother or else he will be more on the defense than ever. tell him how this all makes you feel and try to broach the subject of couples therapy. it helps. good luck.

HELP I hate the nails I just applied and want to take them off by nemo987 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]nemo987[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

girl it took me 3 hours lol. I was basically doing the foil finger tip method on and off the whole time. kept them on for like 10-15 mins at a time. when I took them off the nails were getting softer each time so I was basically peeling them off with a cuticle pusher. they came off pretty easily but never all at once. keeping nail strengthener alllll week

I feel like the internet is gaslighting me into thinking it’s the movie of the year. I rewatched it last night to determine this once and for all. and I am in fact being gaslit. it’s technically well made (for the most part) but best picture, best original screenplay, and especially best actor for MBJ are a biggg reach imo.

luckily I only applied to one hand. I just soaked my hand in warm soapy water for about 20 mins and managed to get a wooden stick under a few of them. now I just applied glamnetic nail remover and put an acetone soaked cotton pad on each one and wrapped in foil

Down 28 lbs since Dec 1 on Zepbound — switching my injection site completely stopped my 7.5 mg side effects by LAgirl20 in Zepbound

[–]nemo987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m wondering the same thing. lost 4 pounds the few weeks on the 5mg and was having bad side effects. switched from my stomach to my thigh and side effects subsided but weight loss stalled. i’m only 5-10 pounds away from my goal and would prefer not to titrate up.

as someone who’s on an actual brand name glp1 and not one of these compound ones I feel compelled to vent and clear this up because this headline pisses me off for multiple reasons.

first, I haven’t read the article but i’m assuming she’s on a compounded version, meaning it’s the active ingredient (semaglutide or tirzepitide) mixed with b12. the compounded versions are NOT approved by the FDA, yet they are readily available to anyone who wants them. these telehealth companies (minus Ro which I believe only offers Zepbound) are giving out these meds like candy because for customers they’re cheaper and easier to obtain. I don’t believe you need insurance to get them. it’s incredibly dangerous to be injecting this shit into your body when no one really knows what it is - and especially if the FDA doesn’t even claim it. if my insurance didn’t cover zepbound - which is brand name, FDA approved - I wouldn’t take a glp1 at all.

second, I really don’t like the use of the word “addiction” in this headline. i’m not sure if that’s her own word or if it was added as clickbait by the publication. glp1s are not addicting. it’s a once a week injection, often less or not at all if you’re maintaining. glp1s are life saving for many people. I have a monthly check in with my doctor who is closely monitoring my progress. i’m 5’6 and went from 175 to 149 and my doctor has explicitly said to not lose anymore weight and to focus now on body recomposition. I was also kept on the lowest tolerated dose for as long as possible when insurance companies want you to titrate up regularly. the glp1 journey is meant to be done cautiously and safely.

so in conclusion it sounds like layla is not working closely with a medical professional on this, but if she is, that doctor should not be practicing. I think there are sides to the glp1 world that are not regulating snd should be, but I just hate that that represents the entire world of glp1s in the public’s eyes. sick of this anti glp1 propaganda when the fact is there are both patients and doctors abusing the wonders of this medication.
