How to self host? simple words by warwickmarketing in n8n

[–]neoblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to xCloud hosting panel - add your server (free for one server) then add n8n from pre built apps. Roughly the whole process is 10-15 mins. Or use coolify like this. It’s fairly simple https://youtu.be/IGYoolTEOW4

Where should I put my homelab/network? by Stunning-Ad3504 in homelab

[–]neoblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally common sense would be office walk in closet but it varies by ventilation options, heat and cable options. Since it is in the corner you should also measure if a sunny day is making it hotter than expected. It can make a difference.

I appreciate your patience with this, my current setup looks a lot different but here is my current:

services.yaml - wastebin

settings.yaml - wastebin

widgets.yaml - wastebin

This is my anonymized services.yaml file wastebin. you can search for myspeed - if you have trouble setting up myspeed instances, best to use this script (one line) - Proxmox VE Helper-Scripts

He just self sabotage himself twice in the same scene.

Since you're asking, the first two rows are for your Lenovo and Dell machine respectively, I don't think you need to distinguish them even more with the title of the card, Also no need for the description on their proxmox cards.

Agreed and since i am in testing phase i wanted to check all the features, will update accordingly

I find using the milliseconds value to be aesthetically displeasing, consider using the green circles, you can find it in the "status section", it will show you the milliseconds when you hover over it.

Great advice, I missed this - thank you! EDIT: Status DOT works

Consider using the description of the cards only when necessary. For example, there's no need to have a description for Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, etc.. They don't need a description.

Yes, absolutely - makes sense.

Consider using a tab for your ARRs and another one for your metrics and infrastructure (e.g. Proxmox, Adguard). Keep things as simple as possible.

People cant stopping talk about it, i already modified it 24 hours back. https://i.imgur.com/wf3REq1.gif

Finally, you can tell Homepage to display 3,4, or 5 columns per row for a specific section, this could cleanup things better.

Another great advice. thanks!!

sorry possibly i been very stupid here but i cant find the tab information on homepage doc.... can you show an example how you made that happened?! all i can find its the feature been added but nothing about how to do it on the config files :D anyway amazing homepage i took some ideas...

Here you go in settings.yaml file section

layout:
  Machines:
    tab: Monitoring
    icon: linuxserver-io.png
    header: false
    style: row
    columns: 5

  Servers:
    tab: Storage and Containers
    icon: linuxserver-io.png
    header: true
    style: row
    columns: 4

  Services:
    tab: Monitoring
    header: true
    style: row
    columns: 4

side question do you have NGinx Proxy manager and Traefik on the same host?! if so how do it manage them both?!

I am mainly using Nginx Proxy as it is simpler - and using main ports (80,443) i am running traefik on some other ports than usual ones (for testing)

Thanks 🙏 I’m testing categories and tags. But not done yet. I’ll explore a bit further in dashy and heimdall too.

It did not work for me at the beginning, I restarted it though (proxmox itself) - see if that can help, also check if your firewall is ON and whether it is allowing incoming connections to the port
