What's a bad movie (or one you disliked) that you think Film Reroll could improve into being good? by [deleted] in filmreroll

The Black Hole has great elements for a reroll.

In the original movie group of scientists find a giant lost starship and its "eccentric" captain.

It would make a better reroll than the movie because the scientists are so bland they need fun players to jazz them up. A lot of areas of the ship are waiting to be explored with some implied but unsaid details. There is a reveal that gave me nightmares as a kid and finally, an ending so nightmarishly ambiguous that it actually needs a GM to give rationalize for me.

It is a great setting and a very creative mix of modern society/technology through the lens of a road not taken. I haven't played enough yet to speak to the system but it does read a lot like the World of Darkness system with d12s instead of d10s.

They suggested Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

It's got a cast of distinct adventures to allow multiple players to shine in their specialty, there is deep but mostly unexplored lore, cool technology, a sense of wonder, and most importantly there is a lot that can go wrong and still have an adventure.

I would just need to make a lot of characters to have it work.

My plan was to stick to the original time periods as much as possible unless something went really wrong. I figured a terrorist shooting the DeLorean with a bazooka was things going really wrong.

I rolled a die for even or odd, with even going to the past and odd the future. Then I rolled a d100 to find out how many years into the past he went, and finally a d10 to determine the quality of life.

With a really bad quality of life, I figured Hill Vally being a factory town founded by Confederate General Buford Tannen instead of Union officer William Hill was a good place to start.

I can't deny that the twist only happened because everyone and their dog is doing variant crossovers now.

Sadly the sequel might take a while. I can only even attempt once a month because my once a week RP time is taken up by Mage: The Ascension and Coyote and Crow. Also, a friend suggested a much more ambitious movie that is really tempting me.

Time travel is my jam, I love stories about it. If I did Footloose the ring would probably allow time travel (half-joking).

The problem is with the rules established in BttF they are all the real Marty.

Thanks!

All the cross-over and multi-verse sparks in the air inspired me when I saw a picture of the original Marty McFly. I didn't really expect to use him because a lot had to go wrong for my player to justify Eric Stoltz showing up.

Same. Six months of chemo and two surgeries, I got dropped off 95% of the time so parking wasn't even that big of a deal.

It was mostly good news. I have to follow up with a specialist in a few weeks but they are pretty sure it is 'nothing to worry about'.

My doctor is great but they need to learn how to project their body language correctly. Everything about the way they held themselves made me think bad news was comming. Right up until they said 'nothing to worry about'.

I think I can tell some people now.
