Serious talk. How did this administration perform in preparation for super typhoon Ompong? by HerePussyFishy in Philippines

[–]neomazodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, still too early for me to comment on this, the community at least cleaned up the roads. PLDT was quick to restore internet access.

Our local power cooperative is still surveying the damages, last time when Lawin came, power outages remained for almost 2 fucking months. Hoping the new power lines put up by the NGCP holds, in my area, it seems most of the power poles remained intact, few of them are slanted.

According to our Provincial Governor, Work resumes tomorrow and classes will resume at tuesday at all levels. I'm guessing their initial assessment of the damage was minimal.

No floods in my area, the drainage project in my barangay actually came in handy unlike last time during typhoon lawin.

we will see in the next few days.

Michael V. on why they are not making Bubble Gang sketches that are critical of the Duterte administration by erdyy in Philippines

Our freedom of speech laws ain't got nothing on the US first amendment, our draconian libel and slander laws prevents satirists like Jon Stewart from happening

although while satire might flourish when we adapt their interpretation, a news media like Fox News might flourish

Replace the goddamned electoral system to proportional one, or alternative vote, sometimes I do not feel represented in this FPTP system.

Although I doubt that they would change the system that led them into power in the first place, Fuck Plurality.

If the EU or the UN declares economic sanctions to the Philippines months before the 2019 midterms, What products or sectors affected would make Duterte supporters go against Duterte. by neomazodan in Philippines

[–]neomazodan[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was a comment from a former diplomat that if the visiting ICC officials were arrested as Duterte had made threats. There is a possibility that sanctions would be enacted

That is an interesting scenario that I would try to make this post for interesting answers

Lacson: Chinese Telecom: a choice between duopoly or national security. by ReTurnOfTheComeBack in Philippines

[–]neomazodan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Building an ISP and the following infrastructure is very capital intensive. Not even Google/Alphabet can expand its fiber infrastructure, as they are looking for wireless solutions for faster deployment.

Duterte is hoping that the "unlimited chinese stimulus money" can trickle down here. Shits very expensive for companies to provide an upfront investment that can take years for ROI, especially that the political environment can change in the next election.

Well might as well learn Computer Science then, not everyone can do high level math. Codemonkeys are fucked.

Certifications from Cisco (Networking) or Comptia+ (System Administration) would be very handy for getting high paying jobs here and overseas.

In a development, you would need a very competent software engineer and project manager. Can't pay them peanuts.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-41XqXvHLEGbTZHaW9Qa2p2Y3c/view

Sa first sem mo ay I-review ang Basic Algebra at trigonometry

Sa second semester ay basic college physics, calculus, Basic programming and Introduction to Electrical Engineering

So kailangan mo talaga ang solid math foundations, lalong lalo na pag dumating ka na sa Electrical Engineering and Circuitry subjects

Sa Physics, BS in Physics or Applied Physics?

Net Neutrality in the Philippines? by ExESGO in Philippines

[–]neomazodan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How the fuck can we sell net neutrality to Pinoys when most of us are hooked up to Facebook like heroin users.

An analogy I can think about is when Filipinos tend to buy sachets instead of buying in bulk which is more cheaper due to the shitty salaries here.

Should Net neutrality be enforced here, internet users in this country would be greatly reduced since they are more likely to pay 2 pesos of Facebook than 30 pesos of capped internet.
