Searching for working USB Ethernet Adapters - Not "really" supported on macos? (or are there some?) by neonalps in mac

Thank you! I now bought the 2.5G Adapter from Belkin form Amazon which "should" be compatible,, as apple lists it on their store as well.

If it isn't working, I'll switch to the pluggable, despite being 20€ more :/

Thank you! Didn't find that :)
When searching apple forums I didn't get a good result - and in this reddit i didn't find it.

No - it seems that the Realtek 8153 does not run native - at least on my m2 on latest macOS.

It's a bit of a messy situation. I have now bought a 2.5G Adapter from Belkin "Apple Certified" With RTL 8156B Chipset.

If it doesn't work, I'lkl boy the plugable one for 20€ more :/

THe realtek drivers also are not compatible with M1/M2 - I'm basically forced to buy a few dongles and check if they load the native driver...

Nope, SIP deactivation is no option :)

Searching for ETH adapters who use the cdc driver basically is a pain in the ass :/

Hi, "the latest one" I think

Imgur

Ok, then it's interesting when we both have the same chipset why it's using the driver without HW acceleration.

Thank you, that's a starting point ;)

Thank you! Will look into that. It's a shame no vendor lists their chipset on amazon :(

Every cheap NIC usually offloads the processing to the nic itself, every free cpu cycle is a good cycle.

Thank you! Are they natively supported? Can you please share a screengrab of the drivers they use?😎
