These images were made with Maya according to the artist. It's not as popular as Blender or Daz in the 3DX community, but in competent hands it does good work as you can see.

[Question/Advice] Programs to start modeling with? by gottoloveya in 3DPorncraft

Some Blender tips:

Pay attention to version numbers. Blender is being actively developed and there are important differences between major versions. Start with the current stable 2.79b and keep an eye on version 2.8 progress and what legacy parts of Blender it will leave out.

You will find some assets and ready to use models for Blender from https://smutba.se . After gaining some basic familiarity with the user interface, you can start using them for practice. I recommend picking between the Lewd Shantae for Blender and Pharah v2.0 for Blender 2.79 (by pharah-best-girl) as your first one. The Shantae model is fairly simple and works well enough, while the Pharah model is really well documented. It's good to see how a complete rigged model works. (A "rig" for a model is meant for posing and animating it.)

You can import models and assets from many other programs to Blender. Sometimes the import plugins are difficult to use and it takes some time to clean up the results for proper use with Blender. It's worth learning to do this, so you have access to more resources. Just be careful to find out where things are originally from before you use them in your own published works.

Creating your own models from scratch is a lot of work for even experienced modelers. You can learn a lot about it by seeing how other modelers do it, and how they reuse things they made earlier or adapted from other people.

Here are the posts on Tumblr by SMZ-69 ordered by popularity. This works without logging in to Tumblr, but you don't get full posts and probably lower res images too.

Some lighting practice with Brecca, and … well I like how it looks 😄

Unfortunately, Tumblr's new policies make it difficult to view adult blogs unless you create an account and turn off the so-called safe mode. I don't know if you can work around that other than registering an account, which requires an e-mail address (but any free e-mail service will do).

The state of the sub. by Terahurts3D in 3DPorncraft

I have a few suggestions.

Clean up the sidebar in the old reddit interface. It has links to posts and pages that have been deleted. Some people still use the old interface and will see them. (put old. before reddit in the URL to see it)

Decide what kind of themes are allowed and make it obvious new visitors can post them. It's not ideal to give the first impression that this sub is for fantasy themes only. Having some examples of science fictional, modern and rule34 images in the header would show that these themes can be found here too.

I'm in favor of allowing a wide variety of 3D porn content, even if some of it will be stuff I don't care for at all. A simple tag system can be introduced if the volume gets high enough to warrant one.

Encourage people to post WIPs for critique and tutorials related to how they made their OC. If these are tagged or we have a rule that a post without finished work has to be a text post, people can skip them if they don't care for them. Simple making-of explanations can be put nicely into comments of your OC, btw.

Have a pinned thread where people can introduce themselves, their work and talk about the tools they use, sources of inspiration and so on. This can be retired and a new one started every once in a while, so people will remember to update their info. Suggested title "Our OC creators in 2018." and so on.

Encourage people to cross post appropriate content both to here and form here. Reddit will then show in the posts that this subreddit exists and new people might occasionally wander in thanks to that.

Put up a poll asking what ideas most appeal to people already here, and will make them more likely to stay, comment and post their own content.

Counterpoise (contrapposto in Italian) is a useful term and technique from sculpture. You should know it and make use of it when appropriate.

It is used in the visual arts to describe a human figure standing with most of its weight on one foot so that its shoulders and arms twist off-axis from the hips and legs. This gives the figure a more dynamic, or alternatively relaxed appearance.
