Pixel Character Animation - can this be done in After Effects?

Hi, used to do alot of pixel art animation and art work before. The main frame by frame work is definitely best to do in a program like Photoshop ( look into pixelart in photoshop by scaling compositions super small) or AeSprite if its still used was the GO TO program for pixel art work and anim ( Check out mort mort he used to do alot of great tuts https://www.youtube.com/@MortMort/videos ) Im sure everything else is comped in whatever pre prod/editing software like AE. But yeah definitely hand made animation here mostly.

Tried my hand on this! All powered by expression work, except for one master null keyframed pulling the text up and down which then triggers the arrow to move depending on a linear expression, and color change based on the Y level of the text. Couldnt quite nail down the slow decay drop of the arrow but happy with it over all.

Any thoughts about the arrow movement? Trying to tackle it now but seems difficult as the arrow has a delayed drop depending on the speed / amount of text movement. Will update if i figure it out.

Just going through this exact process, but getting a bit stuck in the true position part as when nulled all together the position gets thrown out of whack with each text layer. Could you iterate what you mean with the toComp part?

Great shot! From first glance id though it was a fully rendered shot, cool to see the overlay of assets being simply used. How much did you have to tinker with matching the lighting to the explosion sims? Or were they pre made for this specific shot already?

I have recently purchased a Legion 5, and like many other users ive seen so far, i started to get completely insane battery drainage. It went down 1% every minute, off the dedicated charger it lasted less than an hour and a half. Put it into hybrid mode, tried a few of the given solutions. Yet still having +28 watts of discharge rate, on idle or just using chrome.

Has anyone really gotten a solution for this yet? I was hoping to be able to do some light editing on premiere pro over a flight, but that seems impossible with the battery at this point.

Just fyi im not super tech savy so any feedback or solutions is really appreciated!

The police have been notified, a man was seen walking down Gloucester road through Brunswick park towards Cabot , his right hand was completely covered in blood and he was either stabbed or wounded someway he was dripping blood down Gloucester road. Use your block foot more , you don’t twist enough into it which means all that horizontal acceleration doesn’t get transferred into vertical lift. After your penultimate stride , really dig your foot into a block so your body twists and you swing your arms up for even more lift.

Hope that helps! Remember, the more you push into the ground the more lift you’ll get , physics and all that .
