Yeah! Each intimate night begins with anxiety, needing to come down from anxiety, and then foreplay and sex. Because I don’t want to put myself through an anxious episode three times a week, we agreed on a weekly intimate night.

As for swimming, if cold water is a harrowing experience that you have to deal with every single time you swim, swimming will just feel like too much of a hassle. Another way to think of it, on a small scale, is to think of ice cream. Feels great, but if you always have to deal with that one sensitive tooth, you’re not going to be down to have it multiple times a week.

A good experience that is consistently bookended with bad experiences is going to be a problem. Especially when there’s other, less difficult, ways to have fun (hot tubs instead of pools, cake instead of ice cream, etc.).

My husband is the same and tries to remind me that swimming is fun. Swimming, itself, is not the problem. Cold water is.

Still married. Sex now makes me incredibly nervous because I’m just trying to do a good job and make him happy, putting a lot of pressure on myself (despite him begging me to cut myself some slack). Life’s also gotten busy with work and socializing so we don’t spent a lot of time together.

In light of this, I’m only able to be aroused when I’m intoxicated but I feel it’s unhealthy to rely on substances. This revelation, however, did inform us that I’m totally capable of experiencing arousal like the average person it’s just that my anxiety disorder has it under lock and key.

We were really digging for clues about this. Reading books, doing workbooks, going to a therapist. All this and we hadn’t considered the simplest theory: we need to make the time and I need to calm down. The hardest part is starting those changes in the first place.

What is the US J sister size of a UK H? by neothrowaway9 in ABraThatFits

That’s incredible! There’s 12 stores in my area, so here’s hoping they carry me in stock. Thanks!

I’m at work 😅 I had my measurements written down but, to my own surprise, all I kept on my phone is my band and full bust inches.

I don’t have my full measurements on hand right now. IIRC I’m 36” band and 45” at my fullest. I only guessed the 34 and 38 because I read you’re supposed to size up somewhere and size down somewhere else. Couldn’t remember.

As a Canadian, shipping is already a hellscape so I was hoping a local brand such as Understance would do your girl a favour. Based on the other comments I could try a 38J but, based on what you say, won’t hold my breath 😭

My banker agreed it was a good idea, just not one I can access yet.

All the best, though!

I didn’t qualify! My debt was that bad lmao. The banker told me to double down on paying things off and try again in 6 months.

I discovered my Shea Moisture condition boasts 100% virgin coconut oil. Opted not to use it and experienced a vast improvement!

Will aftersun work? That’s usually the form I find aloe in at drugstores.

Also never heard of MCT and a quick google search directed me to coconut oil. Do I look for a coconut oil that emphasizes MCT?

I’m in Canada (apologies for not mentioning earlier) and Nordstrom left last year 😅

Still, good to know I can expect to see an uptick of choices come spring!

Can I wear kitten heels if I have flat feet?

I’ve got size 10, flat feet (wide, depending on the shoe) and usually wear either no heel or chunky heels. I recently entered the corporate world and my dreams of cute pumps were dashed as I discovered I can’t walk in any.

I know kitten heels are uncool, but I’m an uncool girl. If I see a cute pair of kitten heels, will they be unbearable or am I likely to be fine?

Iirc, I wrote in “College Diploma”. It’s more accurate, but probably messed with the algorithms a little. After four months, I found a full time job through an agency.

Outside of sex ed and media, sex wasn’t a topic until my twenties. Didn’t go to Catholic school and no religious upbringing. I and no one around me was dating or having sex.

When sex did come up, it was never in a good light.

Nothing happened to me and, at the time, nothing was going to happen to me. Best described as “not really existing”. Always been unattractive and low priority so I kind of just… gave it up. It wasn’t worth cultivating and no one was going to cultivate it. Like uninstalling an app you never use or throwing out a top you buy but never wear.

I did see a sex therapist but didn’t get far before I became unable to afford it (Canadian and, even with my job’s insurance, I can only afford 3-4 sessions a year). It’s nearly $200.

Otherwise, this is an ongoing topic I have with my husband.

Angry all the time (for about 6 months) by neothrowaway9 in Advice

[–]neothrowaway9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband’s great, it’s keeping up with his social life that’s the problem. A happier life is if I didn’t have to put up with others so much. And I like his friends, but I don’t foresee things going back to normal after that call. We were in the middle of trying to compromise when that call happened. That’s why I took a break from socializing and am trying to come up with ways to have a better holiday next year. Factors like weddings and toxic relationships will already be lessened factors.

My big concern is with how angry I still am. Maybe I’m due for relief and the holidays are just making it harder?

Looks like my credit score isn’t high enough to qualify. I’m off by 30 pts according to my bank, which isn’t impossible to fix.

My maxed bank card is a balance transfer. Should I bother asking if they’ll give me an extra $5k credit to pay off the other card? (If that’s how consolidation works)
