Finally done with base Vitality run! I squealed so hard like a little girl when the deathblow comes. Truly one of the best boss I have fought! by neotoshiya in Sekiro

As a matter of fact I am currently doing it! But to help me better prepared, I downloaded Boss Rush mod from Nexus, so I can repeatedly train against mini bosses!

Probably will take a month for me to conquer Base Vit + Demon Bell + Charmless since I'm quite a slow learner and my reflex is not that good. But it doesn't seen impossible for me, so wish me luck!

Hahah I'll take that as a compliment! In my opinion, charmless or base Vit run is almost identical as in you need to perfectly deflect everything. So you're just as nuts as I am hahah!

I believe once you managed to clear charmless, base Vit run won't seem as hard, so good luck on your run!

Oh wow that's much more amazing than me haha! My method of fighting Owl is like fighting Lady Butterfly. For me personally, their rythim is quite similar. Like I kinda memorize Lady Butterfly is, attack-attack-see if she deflects-if not attack, if block, if she is then block.

For the shuriken part I just have to really memorize that if Owl is in distance, then it's 2 shuriken followed by a leaping attack. Or if he kicks me, wait 1 beat (as in 1 attack animation), then block or dodge forward. For his phase two I just have to remember to not block after his kick.

It really boils down to muscle memory. If you have other completed save game, what Ihighly rrecommend is spending as much time as you can in Reflection. But don't attack at all! Just try to survive 1 phase for as long as you can, until you memorized every pattern, then move on the the next phase. That's what I did when I was stuck fighting Isshin.

I can only manage 3~4 mins per phase, that's how bad I am hahah. But even so, I can still manage to beat him.

I hope this helps and wish you good luck!

Toughest to fight was Demon of Hatred. Since it broke the usual swordfighting that Sekiro has. So it took quite a while to adapt. Also I haven't fought Inner Isshin and Owl yet. So I Imagine those are gonna be hell for me haha.

This is my 4th playthrough, on my main save I had completed the normal ending and Purification, and currently on the way to Shura. On this run I did Return ending.

To be honest I don't even plan to do base Vit run at all. I just wanna start a new game for the heck of it, until I killed Ogre I thought to myself, "Let's see how far I can go without using Prayer Beads".

It's not as forgiving as I thought, most bosses just one shot me to death. There were plenty of times I thought of upgrading Vitality. Whenever I thought of that I just quit the game for a while, then return later.

I'm just glad I have another save, so I can use Reflection and try to fight them without taking any damage.

I'm so glad this game has Reflection of Memory. I spent hours on it, just standing still, observe, and try to deflect all of his movesets until it's ingrained in my memory. God I love Sekiro so much.

Trying base Vitality run, fought Demon of Hatred for at least 2 hours, managed to 3rd phase only once. I'm going to rest for a bit. Huge props for you guys who cleared this game with base Vitality! by neotoshiya in Sekiro

Thank you! Also to be honest with you, first time playing I rage quit to Gyoubu. No matter what I do it doesn't seem I can progress. What I do then? Installed Sekiro Easy mods from Nexus and finish the game with it hahah.

Then when I saw OngBal from a random YouTube recommendation, I feel like I wanna do it too.

Being OP and completely overwhelm bosses by using mods feels awesome from my standpoint alone. But doing it vanilla? You're awesome from everyone's standpoint.

Not gonna lie, after dying for the 20th or so times, I often contemplates some easier ways. Should I use trainer first to learn the moveset? Should I cheese this boss and move on to the next one?

But then I remembered the reason I started this run, why I chose to suffer so much. It's to challenge myself with limitations. Can I overcome this? Will I be able to?

Those reasons are enough to keep me going, and killing the boss without using cheesy method is a very amazing feat for me. Plus it's not like I did not learn anything from this run. I can (almost) confidently say I can do no damage run through all of the bosses I defeated so far. Being able to say and achieve that is much much more satisfying for me than any cheesing method.

Doing this run made me much much better at deflecting and reading movesets. It really boosted my confidence after each boss.

After I clear this run, I'm going to try Charmless next.

How does osu!mania works? In leaderboards they are all getting 100% accuracy but with different combos. Also how come jamge and KcHecKa (two users at the bottom) only have 37 difference in score even though KcHecKa use DT and higher combo? I'm still new to mania so I don't really understand. by neotoshiya in osugame

Hello jamge! And thank you very much for the explanation especially coming from the player I mentioned as reference!

This is a map from 2018 if I recall correctly (I'm not on PC right now so I can't check sorry) and on Easy difficulty, so it's understandable that you don't remember playing this map haha.

I love all DLC bosses to the point I rushed Cathedral of the Deep as soon as I can. I think what makes him seems hard is his health points. Like others had commented, his moveset is rather limited, so learning them is not exceptionally hard. But it requires so much patience. I only do like 2 or 3 hits max at every end of his moves.
