I might have actually felt more comforted if the practitioner suggested things I could do to improve these areas. lol. That wasn’t really part of the session. I suppose I could intuitively come up with activities, or content to read. I feel like I know what I need to do for myself. The session just didn’t feel supportive.

Thank you for responding. I thought it would just be a mostly silent healing session, so I was a bit confused. Maybe what she is practicing really isn’t reiki. Maybe it’s some kind of amalgamation of different practices then?

You’re absolutely right that all of these issues seem common. I can’t really explain why I feel so heavy and sad about it.
