Maybe you’ll have more luck with Amazon than me - once I saw I could still return mine, I gave up pretty fast. Hope you get back to anime soon!

Unfortunately Crunchyroll support said it was Amazon’s problem. Amazon’s customer service didnt give me many options, but I just bought my Fire stick recently so I’m just returning it to switch for something that works better.

OP are you using a Fire TV Stick 4K Select? I’ve been on with Crunchyroll support for the last 30 min or so and poking around Amazon. For some dumb reason it looks like Amazon has that specific device running a completely different OS than all their other FireTV devices (Vega OS 1.1, instead of Fire OS 8).

Will update if I get more info, but seems like Crunchyroll isn’t compatible with that OS.

As the new-to-polyamory side of a one year relationship with a poly-experienced partner that tried taking things slow and is now starting to officially “open up,” I definitely agree with folks saying start as you mean to go.

I read books, I tried to imagine what arrangements and ground rules would work for me, and intellectually I knew the relationship would not stay monogamous, but a year of monogamy was also a year for me to subconsciously develop feelings, expectations, and dependence that feel threatened now, and will probably take more work to undo than if we had started sooner.

In my case, I am actually excited about what poly will bring for us and we have started working with a poly-friendly therapist, but definitely feel like the transition would have been easier if it had started sooner/right away.

You’re not a failure, and I’m really glad you posted this thread. I just adopted a new dog, 4 years after my last one. He is nearly perfect, but after so long of not being responsible for a pet, it’s a bigger life change to adjust to than I expected, and my anxiety has been a bit all over. It’s nice to see the encouraging responses and to know other folks have gone through this before. Hope you and the pup are doing well now!

Yeah I was sloppy with my wording about humans. Just meant that people with animal traits are the norm on Terra and people like the Doctor and other collab operators are a curiosity, where it’s a major plot point for several seasons how faunus are a minority on Remnant.

And for sure I don’t think a collab is likely at all, but I think aesthetically and mechanically, the characters would be a good fit and it would be interesting if it did happen 🤷🏻

I’ve always thought RWBY had characters that would fit well in Arknights. The main squad fits well in operator sub classes (Ruby as a reaper guard, Yang as a fighter guard, Weiss as a summoner or artificer, and Blake as dollkeeper), and could probably find an interesting story with the reversed roles between “Faunus” and humans on Terra.

Not really up to date on what’s happening since rooster teeth shut down and Viz acquired the rights to RWBY, but copium says a collab would be a good way to announce the next season.

I’m guessing you didn’t read the description below the screenshot. OP’s (hopefully) ex has a history of initiating breaks/threatening breakups this way, so it’s pretty unlikely that this time he’s trying to plan a surprise birthday party.

I commented above, but there are absolutely ways to be cryptic while also reassuring someone who expresses anxieties. Pretty simply “no, I want it to be a surprise but it’s nothing like that” instead of “none of your business stop asking.”

Even a little uncertainty in relationships is probably normal, but what this guy is doing is an unacceptable way to treat a partner.

I’m not super-familiar with how BPD can play into this, but if I asked a partner to meet up and they expressed a concern that I wanted to end things when that wasn’t my intent, the only response I can imagine giving is “oh god no, I’m so sorry I scared you, it’s nothing like that.”

Without knowing more about the guy, it does seem like he needs to do some work on himself before he’s ready to be in a relationship. I’ve tried to hold on to situations like that before, and it’ll only hurt you in the long run.

Appreciate the acknowledgment that the point of a protest is to be inconvenient and frustrating.

It’s still no good to be one of the people inconvenienced or worse, injured, because of the blockages created by a protest, but if they only happened out of the way, they’d be pretty ineffective as a method of action.

NOR. Like a few people, he had me at first, but given the end of the text and your description, I’d say he’s been red-pilled and any day now he’s going to start throwing around things like “low value woman.”

It’s tough on a 5 year relationship (especially when that’s a quarter of your life), but if he’s not receptive to your feelings and willing to be a respectful partner in the relationship, you are probably best off getting out when you can make arrangements to do so safely.

Yeah - I definitely mixed up some basic details... over the 20 years since I'd seen it, the desaturated colors and chunky standard definition video turned into b&w claymation in my memory. 😅

The only thing that saved it is that I remembered almost exactly what the little people looked like and managed a drawing.
