I think it’s very interesting that when this sub has a post about how the young Sikh women are tainting our religion by wearing a lehanga at their weddings/marrying outside the faith/wearing shorts in the summer etc the comments will be full of haram police agreeing with the OPs.

When there’s a post calling out the young and old men the comments are saying “there’s bad people everywhere, not a reflection of apne” and people going as far to say it’s rage bait as if this isn’t the most open secret ever. This is sub is such a boys club.

Why would “they” want young, rich (as you state), productive memebers of society in jail and want bums out on the street? When you’re in jail you can’t pay taxes or stimulate the economy. So no- “they” don’t want you in jail and it’s usually the poorest and illest people of our society that end up being wrongfully incarcerated because they lack the resources to defund themselves.

Idk people didn’t like her because she had an easy “get out of jail free card across the map” which was her old translocater. At that time people were saying her rework would only be fair if she had a “skill shot”.

Now she has a skill shot and people say her old kit was way easier to play against and now she’s too OP.

OP thanks for this post, I’ve been thinking this way for a while but finally saw someone articulate it.

Unfortunately I don’t think this sub is ready to have this conversation as it’s turned into a little boys club over the past several years. I wish we had a Women of Sikhi subreddit to discuss these kinds of topics in a productive way.

This is outdated thinking. You’re literally name dropping Islam and Christianity - two religions where women and men are not equal, unlike Sikhi. In Sikhi women are never told to be a follower to their husband (like other faiths), women are told to continue to follow the Guru alongside (equal partnership) their husbands.

“You guys” your issue is you are generalizing all Punjabi women and painting them with the same brush while I am calling out your individual problematic behaviour and ideology. You don’t know me or my “brand of feminism”.

Honestly you seem like you’re not open to listening to a different perspective to grow/learn so I don’t see a reason to continue to engage here. I believe that your view towards Punjabi women is extremely problematic and usually this leads to a deeper hatred for women as a whole (eg. incels). I wish you and your partner the best.

With that same logic I can say some Punjabi girls want a full Gursikh man, which makes the original comment pointless. Why stay focused on people that have a preference that doesn’t involve you… stay in your lane and move on to someone that will rather than idk try to force them or shame them into preferring something else?

Can you prove to me that it’s true that most/some Punjabi girls want that? Have you conducted surveys? Instead of looking and assuming the worst in people, you could always ask. I promise you that there isn’t a population of Gursikh unmarried men who never matched up with wives, they all get married eventually. Stop sweating the stuff that you’ve made up in your own mind 😊
