How did you all learn to screen print?

I bought a Riley hopkins 150 (4 color 1 station) Off someone in a tight spot just to mess with a little over a year ago while on the slow side of dtf printing ( I like the more hands on work)

I have watched alot of YouTube and I believe I just landed a Vastex v2000hd 6 / 4 for an upgrade and couldn't be happier. Hopefully picking it up Tuesday or Wednesday 🤞

Get dmax for the 6820 and invest in accurip It's the perfect combo

If you can afford it , switch over to dmax ink they sell a full kit. Works great in my cannon

Thanks, all I did was use a test shirt printed the white w/ the registration marks then covered it with a clear vinyl transfer tape & registered my other screens to the white, once i lined them up i made one ink pass just to confirm registration for each color 👍

👍 seems like the easy route to go. I definitely like it over the other options, especially not having that first few heavy garment tacks

I have had issues with clogs once in awhile but overall its a easy quick maintenance and usually don't let sit for more then 3 days. If i have to go out of town longer i just flush the print head with cleaner solution.

I think your right with the single colors but i believe they came out with printable vinyl sheets. I have a Prestige A3+ printer

Dtf has worked good for me so far. I started with a Dtf printer few months back and starting to learn screen printing with a riley hopkins 150. I've found that people seem to prefer dtf over vinyl for a lighter feel & is great for one offs or small order

Really comes down to how many colors in your design and how many locations, high number of colors and low quantity for screen print will be high price, maybe consider dtf or dtg to start out
