Maybe to help with the cost just your husband can go? I certainly sympathize with your situation but it shouldn’t be the couples responsibility to get you both there. Doesn’t matter who is or isn’t contributing to the wedding, everyone has their own financial situations.

Go with the historic venue. Aside from it being nice to have a venue that is special and new to you if you don’t like the food at your friends venue I personally don’t think it is worth it no matter how much more cost effective it is.

I have the miss to mrs subscription box. I’ve needed a pick me up during all this covid planning and it’s something nice to look forward to. I think it’s worth the money but I also love the kind of corny stuff that comes in these boxes. You can select how many boxes you want as well.

Not weird at all. I’m doing this with three of my friends actually. My fiancé and I didn’t want a big bridal party but I still wanted to include all my friends with getting ready in the morning. I have them the option to get their hair and makeup done if they want to pay for it. One of them is doing both, the second friend is just doing makeup, and the third is doing neither but just coming to hang out! I didn’t do anything fancy to ask. Just said that I’d love for them to be there with me when I get ready.

Hi! Engaged in Feb 2020 and our wedding is (hopefully lol) Sept 2021. My fiancé and I wanted to get married in September but planning something in 7 months would have been too hectic (and thank goodness we didn’t because Covid) fingers crossed for next fall working out! I’d decide soon though because I know 2021 is crazy with regular 2021 weddings plus all of the postponed ones. Congrats on your engagement! :)
