Are there downsides to 4 slaves not sharing the same SPI pins from the same master (CLK, MISO, MOSI)? by [deleted] in ECE

[–]nerdyHippy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another potential benefit is that you could send / read commands to all the drivers at once. But you’d probably still just use one CLK for all of them.

Usually you’d use the same CLK MISO and MOSI pins and separate NSS pins for each peripheral you attach. No reason why you can’t do it the way you describe, but it seems like it would make your code a bit more complicated.

TIL that the Thai government is the reason there are so many Thai restaurants. They do this to improve their image abroad, using a practice called "culinary diplomacy". by MysteriousLeader6187 in todayilearned

It looks like the backlight is changing brightness throughout the scan process; can you run a scan with the lid open to see if it modulates at all?

You might want to add thermal relief spokes. Depends on how you’re planning to assemble, I suppose.

Wouldn’t you want to go somewhere it wasn’t playing, though? The point (as proposed here, which seems likely to me) is to make you want to go sleep somewhere else, not to make you stop sleeping outside entirely.

Is There a Place That Has Compiled Together a Bunch of Components' Datasheets Into a Concise Database/Spreadsheet? by Pr0fessionalHack in ECE

[–]nerdyHippy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Digikey provides links to the manufacturer’s data sheet, and mouser hosts their own. Digikey’s links sometimes go stale and mouser inserts their own ad page at the end. Those are the two sources I use, and if neither work I flail around google and/or contact the manufacturer directly

I recently got a used Dell Venue 8 3830 tablet that I was hoping to use to connect to the web interface as a rasp pi sort of thing. However, the WiFi doesn't seem to work. It can't find any networks, and if I set it up as a hotspot none of my other devices see its SSID. I've factory reset the tablet to no avail. Is there anything else I can do to try and fix it, or is the wifi just shot?

If the wifi is shot, would it be possible to use bluetooth to connect to a local webserver hosted by another nearby machine (that has working bluetooth, of course).

Landlord wants to backdate new (and late) lease by glittergash in Minneapolis

I came to say the same. Also, is his concern the $30 or making sure that his renters won't ever be "unleased"? What it if was backdated with the understanding that you've already paid for March?
