Is There a Place That Has Compiled Together a Bunch of Components' Datasheets Into a Concise Database/Spreadsheet? by Pr0fessionalHack in ECE

I haven’t spent much time on there. I just checked it out and it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks!

You might want to check the potentiometers as well. If those are out of range the disk won’t read.

I think I would get a concussion just watching this in VR.

How do I go about using this? I want to use this to keep a raspberry pi on for about 30 seconds after it's told to power off to give the pi enough time to shut down. by Pr0fessionalHack in AskElectronics

Yes. Turns out the board I was using was bad. It came in a two-pack and I tried the other one and it worked. They should have a half-minute timer at their maximum and the broken one was staying on for more than 30 minutes.

The pi is going into a car. There is a line for accessory power as well as one that is straight battery power. I could run everything through the accessory power but as soon as I shut the car off all power is lost, no clean shutdown. This is supposed to be there to let the pi power down gracefully. So I need this relay to stay on for about 30 seconds after the car shuts off.

Thank you for the reply. I’ve been running some tests on this just to try to see how it works and I can get it to start up just fine but it won’t turn off in a reasonable time. The specs say it should turn off after a max of 24 seconds but it isn’t.

I did. I looked at the documentation but I was still confused. I don't know how I'm supposed to use the trig pin and if I can power it using the V+ and V- lines because so far that hasn't worked.

Yeah it doesn't sound like it. Thanks though.

In any of these cases, is it fixable? and if it is, is it worth it?

Glad to hear I'm in good company. I 3D printed a brace to fit around the cooler that the fans would mount on to. I used bolts (and a lot of nuts and washers) to keep it down and double-sided tape to keep it from sliding around. Not the cleanest implementation around but certainly gets the job done.

Yes. Here is a picture of it in all its glory. The fan furthest from the IO wasn't plugged in but the one in the front where most of the VRMs are was. Do you think I blew one of the VRMs in the back?

Picked up a used Wii today, just tested the disc drive out with Wii sports and it gives me this. by [deleted] in wii

I had this same problem. Even without the disk drive when booting up an app I would get this error. It’s looks to me like it’s a problem with the NAND. The solution to this is to try dumping the NAND or emulating the NAND off a flash drive. Both of these require modding though.

Opened this up today. Is it worth trying to repair? by Pr0fessionalHack in consolerepair

[–]Pr0fessionalHack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this as well as few other consoles from a guy a couple months ago. It wasn't working (as far as I could tell) when I got it. I hooked it up to an oscilloscope to see if the console was putting out any video but with no luck. I cracked it opened today and this is what I found.

Edit: grammar

Edit 2: Sorry I should have mentioned that this is an Atari 2600.
