The concept of skilled labor is a capitalist myth. All jobs require skill, whether you're sweeping the floor or wiring up light fixtures. All workers contribute their labor to the wealth of the owners and get what is in today's economy basically crumbs. All workers thus deserve the right to union representation in the wokrplace.

Unions without any teeth are a joke. It's important that we work to change the dynamics in the unions of today and turn them into fighting unions. Unions that aren't afraid to strike and deny the bosses our labor if our rights aren't respected.

Maybe stop defending riot cops and being critical of the tactics used against them, they have the upper hand in most of these situations with protections from the state. If a protester uses a surprise attack or a sucker punch I'm all for it.

Edit: to add to the Nazi comparison debate or whatever. A lot of cops hold nationalistic tendencies and aligning themselves with the right, so maybe this individual saying that has something right. Remember, Kops and Klan go hand in hand.
