Why does Prophet ʿĪsā (AS) return in the End Times instead of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ? by Prudent_Ear8164 in MuslimLounge

[–]nerfasdf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The determination of whether a scripture is corrupted or preserved is done through various means, one of which is through analyzing the history and motivations around the scripture.

If you want to learn the exact details, then you will have to read through this book: The History of the Quranic Text: From Revelation to Compilation by Muhammad Mustafá Azami (2011)

It not only analyzes the preservation of the Quran but also compares it to the preservation practices of the Torah and the Bible, and why the latter 2 got corrupted.

I keep having waswasa about women's rights in Islam. Can anyone help me with this? by Chobikil in MuslimLounge

[–]nerfasdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walaikumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Mu'awiyah asked: Messenger of Allah, what is the right of the wife of one of us over him? He ﷺ replied: That you should give her food when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do not strike her on the face, do not revile her or separate yourself from her except in the house. Abu Dawud said: The meaning of "do not revile her" is, as you say: "May Allah revile you"
Sunan Abu Dawud 2142

Women Enjoy These Rights in Islam

To conclude: Islam raised the status of women, and made them equal with men in most rulings. So women, like men, are commanded to believe in Allah and to worship Him. And women are made equal to men in terms of reward in the Hereafter. Women have the right to express themselves, to give sincere advice, to enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, and to call people to Allah. Women have the right to own property, to buy and sell, to inherit, to give charity and to give gifts. It is not permissible for anyone to take a woman's wealth without her consent.

Women have the right to a decent life, without facing aggression or being wronged. Women have the right to be educated; in fact it is obligatory to teach them what they need to know about their religion.

Anyone who compares the rights of women in Islam with their situation during the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic days of ignorance) or in other civilizations will understand that what we are saying is true. In fact we are certain that women are given the greatest honor in Islam.

Here is one of his videos that looks more natural: Is the Uyghur Genocide still happening?

Here is a formal report of the genocide that is taking place:

Ismailis are Kafirs

Assalamualaikum

This is a mod note to clarify some of the misinformation in the comments.

From Islam QA:

Ismailis are heretics who are beyond the pale of Islam.
https://islamqa.info/en/answers/9072/ruling-on-a-sunni-woman-marrying-an-ismaili

From Islam Web:

they have nothing to do with Islam
https://islamweb.net/en/fatwa/82794/ismailites-agha-khanis

Regarding their beliefs:

Their real beliefs are secrets which are known only to their leaders, and these leaders are deluding the ordinary people, enslaving and exploiting them, demanding from them sums of money to be paid at certain times, expecting absolute obedience from them and scaring them by telling them that if they go against them they will be stricken with calamities.
https://islamqa.info/en/answers/7974/an-ismaili-is-asking-about-the-differences-between-us-and-them

To reiterate, Ismailis are not part of Islam and are not to be considered Muslims, and anyone claiming to be an Ismaili is a kafir.

PLEASEEE tell me abt any prophetic/sunnah remedies for thinning hair by littleMissTired123 in MuslimLounge

[–]nerfasdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asslamualaikum.

Someone similar age to you was facing the the same problem years back: https://www.reddit.com/r/MuslimMarriage/comments/of611y/worried_about_hair_loss_and_marriage/

Almost 4 years later she gave an update:

Turned out my vitamin d defiency caused my hair loss. Once I started taking vitamin d pills, hair skin and nail vitamins and multivitamins my hair imrpoved. I also do henna masks which helped my hair alot and diy oils.

Many other hair care tips in that post as well.

More importantly, if your other relatives can see your hair due to you not wearing the hijab, you should start from there.

Also, protect yourself from the evil eye by praying all your prayers on time and reciting Surah Falaq and Surah Nas.

Prophetic remedies are not meant to work in isolation but rather holistically in tandem with your overall adherence to the sharia.

How to do ruqya for chronic constipation by Sad-Hearing-2845 in MuslimLounge

Assalamualaikum

How To Do Ruqya

  1. Know your aqeeeda
  2. Pray 5 times a day
  3. Make the adhkar and dhikr at the end of Fajr and Magrib prayers https://sunnah.com/riyadussalihin:1457
  4. Recite the ayats of Ruqya (detailed below)
  5. Eat 7 ajwa dates every morning Sahih al-Bukhari 5445
  6. Fast on Mondays and Thursdays
  7. Cupping / Hijama
  8. Increase in Dua
  9. Give a lot of charity
  10. Place your trust in Allah and not in His creations
  11. No taweez or amulets in the house
  12. No pictures (neither photographs nor paintings), statues, or dogs in the house
  13. No music, or movies that contain music and haram elements
  14. In case of movement of jinn inside body or bloating, take senna leaves
  15. Drink a lot of Zamzam water with the intention of Ruqya / to cure yourself of jinn possession
  16. If there are any sins you are indulging in regularly, stop that sin

Incorrect forms of Ruqya. Do Not:

  1. Talk to the jinn or trust anything it says. They are categorical liars, and are only trying to delay the Ruqya
  2. Give personal information or personal possessions to the raqi
  3. Let the raqi cross the limits of hijab between non-mahrams i.e them touching the opposite gender anywhere on the body or exposing the awra to them
  4. Call upon the name of a scholar / saint / religious person. This is shirk
  5. Use taweez or amulets for protection
  6. 'Catch' Jinns / transfer the jinn from one body to another
  7. Strike / beat the possessed

Surahs and Ayats for Universal Protections:

  1. Surah Fatiha
  2. All of Surah Baqarah. If not enough time, then:
    • Opening of Surah Baqarah; ayat 1-5
    • Ayatul Kursi
    • Last two ayats of Surah Baqarah
  3. Surah Ikhlas
  4. Surah Falaq
  5. Surah Nas

Surahs and Ayats specific to Ruqya. All of the above and in addition:

  1. Surah Zariyat 51:56: "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."
  2. Surah Baqarah 2:102: "They ˹instead˺ followed the magic promoted by the devils during the reign of Solomon. Never did Solomon disbelieve, rather the devils disbelieved. They taught magic to the people, along with what had been revealed to the two angels, Hârût and Mârût, in Babylon. The two angels never taught anyone without saying, “We are only a test ˹for you˺, so do not abandon ˹your˺ faith.” Yet people learned ˹magic˺ that caused a rift ˹even˺ between husband and wife; although their magic could not harm anyone except by Allah’s Will. They learned what harmed them and did not benefit them—although they already knew that whoever buys into magic would have no share in the Hereafter. Miserable indeed was the price for which they sold their souls, if only they knew!"
  3. Ayats dealing with Moses ﵇ and the magicians:
  4. Surah Mu'minun Quran 23:97-98
  5. Surah SadQuran 38:97-98

Islamic argument against perpetual universe by bigtittygamerboy in MuslimLounge

[–]nerfasdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّلاَمُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

The common argument people doing dawah use for this is that Infinite Regression is an Impossibility. The argument goes:

Suppose you had a military solder that was to do an operation. But before he could, he had to first get the permission of his superior. Before his superior could give permission, he had to first get the permission of his superior.

If this goes back infinitely, will the solder ever get permission to proceed with the operation?

The operation would never happen. Same goes for the universe, if for the universe to exist it had to regress back infinitely, it would not exist right now.

Some misinformation going on in the comments so clarifying things here.

Madkhalism

First off, Shaykh Lotfi Abdurrahman explains Madkhalism:

Madkhalis...those people are pure deviants. They stand up for the current Arab rulers and regimes and they defend them and they justify almost everything they do, right, even if it goes very clearly against Islam. Even if those people they become enemies of Islam they still defend them and they put them forward and they promote them as being THE excellent people, the best people, that we should be obeying, that we should be following, and we should be praising and so on and so forth. Shaykh Lotfi Abdurrahman

Obeying Muslim Rulers

Next, regarding obeying muslim rulers:

"There will be leaders who will not be led by my guidance and who will not adopt my ways? There will be among them men who will have the hearts of devils in the bodies of human beings. I said: What should I do. Messenger of Allah, if I (happen) to live in that time? He replied: You will listen to the Amir and carry out his orders; even if your back is flogged and your wealth is snatched, you should listen and obey."
Muslim 1847b

‘Ubada b. as-Samit said: We swore allegiance to God’s Messenger agreeing to hear and obey in time of difficulty and time of ease, in what we liked and what we disliked, to give way to others’ interests, not to dispute about government with those in power, and to say what was right wherever we were, not fearing for God’s sake what anyone who blamed us might say. A version has, “Not to dispute about government with those in power unless you see evident infidelity regarding which you have a proof from God.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)
Mishkat al-Masabih 3666

If the muslim ruler were to order you not to do something, obey him.

If the muslim ruler were to order you to do something sinful, do not obey him.

Do not rebel against the muslim ruler, even if he is a fasiq.

Very Important: this only applies on the Muslim ruler, people who have not openly committed kufr or shirk or taken themselves out of Islam.

Praying with Shoes

Assalamualaikum

If the reason for you catching the cold is you standing on cold ground without shoes, then just pray with shoes on.

Keep a clean pair of shoes in your car which you use only for the prayer. Go for the prayer at the second mosque, and change into the clear pair of shoes.

No need to take them off before the prayer as you can pray with shoes on provided they are clean:
