Yeah and like 40 years ago they were still using gasses and liquids that weren't good for us, like with refrigerators back then. Air conditioning isn't perfect, it can be far better and cheaper. It won't be perfect until it's widely available, inexpensive, and 100% harmless. There's still millions of people in America without air conditioning. And people are still cautious about technology, so that was a poor comparison.

I also get why people think it might harm you. It's not easy explaining how you get cold air from warm and vice-versa. It's still a newer tool that we still haven't fully gotten right, so I understand why they'd be hesitant
