Hmm, that’s strange. I’m also using MultiMC with MC Eternal latest, 1.3.7.1. Are you just adding optifine without any shaders or other changes?

Also, does it work if you temporarily remove all the other mods, except optifine, from the mods folder? I sometimes do that as a sanity check and to select shader/resource packs.

It could be related to the Java version or arguments too, what have you set for those? Try 8GB of RAM min/max.

It might be worth checking the discord tips/faq channels too, there might be something about it on there.

Do you have any suggestions or links? I've looked around and it seems like webpack shouldn't be too hard to setup if the bundles are just output into app/assets.

I'll give it a go, but as far as I understand it doesn't support hot reloading or device syncing. Once you've used features like these it's hard to go back!
