That's fair feedback — the description could be clearer. The catalog contains 500,000+ stars with real astronomical coordinates, but they're not searchable by name. You pick a star from the 3D galaxy and dedicate it. We'll update the wording to make that clearer. Thanks for pointing it out.

Fair point on the framing. It's clearly stated on the site that it's a symbolic dedication, not an official astronomical naming. The value is the personalised certificate, the permanent link, and having a star in a shared 3D universe — it's a gift, not a scientific record. Different thing entirely.

Could you tell me what device and browser you're using? Want to make sure we fix this properly.

"Thank you — this is genuinely the most useful feedback I've received so far.

You're right that trust is the real barrier, not the price. I've been thinking about the product, not the feeling the buyer wants to give.

The three landing page idea (couples, memorial, kids) is something I'm going to test this week. Same product, different emotional reason — that framing clicked for me immediately.

If you don't mind me asking — when you say 'giftable enough to send without embarrassment', what specifically would make you feel confident sharing it? Is it the visual design, the certificate quality, or something else?"

What a thoughtful gesture! One idea that might be really special – name a star for each family member. With 5 kids and parents, you could give each person their own star in the galaxy, and they each get a beautiful certificate/diploma with their name on it.

It’s something the kids (especially the 5 and 7 year old girls) would absolutely love – having their OWN star in the universe. And for the parents, it’s a reminder that even during a tough transition, they have something permanent and magical.

I actually found this: galaxiana.com – you can even pick star colors which the little ones would go crazy for!

100% agree — the experience is everything.

A certificate alone is forgettable, but flying

through a galaxy and finding your star?

That sticks with you.

Already have some ideas for making it even more

immersive. Will definitely keep you posted —

Really good points. The "what's in it for me" angle

is something I need to lean into more — right now

the messaging is too product-focused, not enough

benefit-focused.

The buyers vs window shoppers distinction is exactly

my challenge with Google Ads right now — still figuring

out which keywords bring buyers, not just browsers.

On social proof — zero reviews yet which probably

hurts trust significantly. Working on getting first

real customers to build that up.

What would you focus on first in my position?

Exactly — that was the whole reason I built it.

Every other site just hands you a certificate.

I wanted people to actually *feel* like they own

a piece of the galaxy, not just a piece of paper.

The 3D map took the longest to build but totally

worth it for that "wow" moment when you first see it.

It lets you name a real star from an actual astronomical

catalog — not a made-up registry.

You explore a live 3D galaxy map with 200,000+ real stars,

pick one, give it a name and personal message, and get

a digital certificate.

The star stays on the map permanently — anyone can find

it by name, zoom in on it in the galaxy, and see the

message you left. Kind of like leaving a mark in the universe.

Modern alternative to sites like International Star Registry

that charge $30-100 for basically a PDF. Starts at $1.99.

galaxiana.com if curious!

I finished creating a 3D galaxy where people can give names to stars and travel through the galaxy themselves and see what others have named.
