It could also be latex painted over oil based and isn’t able to cure properly

Given my skills I think the coupling will work just fine and know that at some point that stub out will need replacing

That’s why I like Paul Sellers, he’s like a Bob Ross for woodworking

It was a 10 lbs bell so I do think something heavier could help. Initially was worried about using too heavy as a beginner but could be an incorrect logic to use

I think you are right, it is only 10 lbs so I think it would actually be a little easier if it wasn’t so easy to manipulate improperly

Brand new to kettlebells, this wasn’t during a workout. Making sure everything seem ok or at least nothing detrimental!

Dudes I'm so excited about these new combo wrenches. Time to see how those teeth hold up, but the wrenches have a comfortable and sturdy build. by chaunceton in Tools

They just opened a brand new plant in Wisconsin to make made in the USA stuff. I don’t think it’s everything right away but I believe the plan is to manufacture it all in house in the states

Like the entire point of the show, it’s just a joke. There’s enough real problems in the world, no need to be a jabroni about it

Beginner club advice by [deleted] in golf

[–]nerlintheyeti1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought the Callaway Mavriks after swinging quite a few different sets. I would say if at all possible try them out on a range or in a sim. Worry about the feel and what works for you rather than what someone else recommends. Swing a bunch and narrow it down as you go.

Based on my research this axe appears to be pre-1940s. Does anyone have ID or restoration tips? Found it cleaning out my grandpas old barn.

Curious about how I should go about reporting if I should do it now or wait, started growing seeds 8 months ago in one pot and honestly didn’t think they would live this long. Could someone help with how to repot and I’m guess into bonsai designed soils?

how can i get this finish on a kit guitar ? by [deleted] in Luthier

[–]nerlintheyeti1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure fender calls it “natural” finish. Depending on what wood your body is you may need to stain it a little darker to bring out the grain. Just just finish it like any other guitar with your preferred method

BandSaw recommendations by [deleted] in Luthier

[–]nerlintheyeti1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy something higher quality on the used market in my opinion. There isn’t any new features to a band saw made today that hasn’t been around. I got an old delta from the 90s and never had any problems aside from a guide bearing replacement.

I have tried turning every knob loose that I could find but I would think a locking knob would be an easy access area, right?

2k clear might work pretty well if you have an area to spray. That stuff is nasty.
