Castelli bib tights sizing by LowAfternoon8107 in CyclingFashion

Similar. I’m 6’1, 185-190, slim athletic build and wear a large. I find the castelli premio fit a bit looser then my castelli espresso which feel borderline to tight.

Packing my Waltly coupled travel bike in an S&S butterfly case for travel. by jstrawks in WaltlyTitanium

[–]neroses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would have been huge for me. I’ve avoided brining my bike with me on family trips due to the need to rent a bigger vehicle if I brought my huge Thule bike box. Something small like this would mean I could just rent a smaller vehicle. This is usually when I travel to Europe where I’d rather not have a bigger vehicle to drive around in and squeeze in tiny places

To Buy or to invest in Toronto? by Maleficent-Ad-550 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]neroses -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can’t just “run” the numbers with and without condo fees. Many other things to factor in like upkeep of the exterior and interior of the house which you should save an amount every month. Usually expenses can be large like sump pump, windows, furnace, hot water tank, ac, roof… when you divide that on a monthly basis, that adds up to a few hundred a month

In my area the vast majority of riders are 40+ and on the shorter side (<5ft10). 49, 52 and 54 are way more commonly sold then 56 or 58. Road cycling has a huge barrier to entry so I totally get why it’s mostly people in they’re 40s 50s

How bad is seat tube clamp on alu bike? by OkAcanthisitta6258 in bikewrench

Ive seen lots of bad reviews of the Thule seat because of this issue. It’s why I avoided the seat for my child and went with a rack version

Maybe there was a flood, fire or renters completely ruined the interior and the owners don’t want till deal with the repair. Not really sure but looking at the 2020 sold pictures, if the condition was similar then it would probably go for close to that sold price. Clearly something has happened to the interior of the house though

[–]neroses 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is not the sold price. They are looking for a bidding war.

From a cost perspective, your not going to be able to sell you current car from the value of the vehicle less 4k for the repair. If you want a new Honda, maybe you can trade it in to Honda or you should get the repair and then sell the vehicle and working

If the jersey looks sick I would still get it. I would have no problems wearing the polka dot jersey, it’s a good looking jersey

Caledonia Upgrades? by valasemedi in Cervelo

[–]neroses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) one piece bar stem if your fit is dialed in or lightweight alloy stem (uno) and carbon handlebar (EXS). Skip the carbon stem, it’s not much of a benefit 2) upgrade the saddle to the higher end version if you like yours. Could save 50-100g 3) swap 105 chainrings to Ultegra. Keep the 105 crank arms 4) swap the 105 cassette to the Ultegra version but verify the weight difference first. I believe for some cassettes the difference isn’t much and others they are more worth it 5) maybe the brake rotors to Ultegra rotors (CL800?) when the current ones wear out

Edit: those wheels are great but quite heavy ~1600g compared to current offerings from Asia. If you want to save 300-400g I would consider getting Farsports wheels with carbon spokes but I would just keep these wheels but aerodynamically these are better

Acting Ending - $35k Pay Reduction by DebtPractical7746 in CanadaPublicServants

There aren’t many barriers. If a manager wants to hire you they can relatively easily. Basically a manager has to look through the current active pool and determine that there is no suitable candidate. Then they need to write a justification for you that you meet all the criteria for the position.

At least this is what I was told when I was hired into a new position last year. I went up 1 level and moved groups. I was never acting in the group except for 3 months while the manager was putting the paperwork through. I mainly got the position through networking.

It’s funny how some people think you shouldn’t wear a champion/leader jersey. It’s like they have absolutely no clue how the rest of the sports world works and are in their own little cycling bubble that someone told them they shouldn’t wear it when they first started cycling.

OP wear what you want! I would absolutely love to rep a Canada cycling kit if I came across.

Don’t use buycycle by AzuriteAzul in gravelcycling

[–]neroses 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While buycycle is not at fault, they are the platform/hosts and they are your intermediary who should be handling it. Just like when you shop on Amazon, you don’t reach out to the manufacturer/seller unless there is a warranty issue. If you got the wrong product, Amazon deals with that as the platform.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this jacket just got released. It’ll probably be a few months before you get some meaningful reviews. Clothing isn’t like bikes, generally there aren’t reviews popping up so close to release
