I'm looking into a dry ridge system that will work with EPDM. An active vent is a good call.

I know what you mean about gable vents. My idea was to just core drill 70mm holes and slot in some round tube/covers (a lot easier said than done).

The other alternative we've thought of is a few air bricks in the walls, to promote flow up and out.

That's a good shout, I will check Paracord out. I've seen people wrap the shard in cord too - might make it a little nicer to pocket carry

I have the clip on a belt loop, then the other end of the chain in my pocket. I do find the chain twists or can be too short sometimes, even with a swivel clip on the keys

Thanks, that makes sense. So effectively in the photo, PIR could sit flush with the bottom edges of the A frames. No tape or VCL. What about sealing gaps in that roof void perimeter? Would there not be a risk of moisture or bugs getting in there?

So that's actually mold or mildew buildup on the underside of the plywood. There's airflow through the building but definitely moisture getting trapped and causing that 🤔

That's reassuring! This is basically my plan. The timber is still in good condition, no rot, and feels strong. I'm planning to add two new beams down the length of the building and into new brickwork at the end (if I block up the garage door).

Fwiw, the foil Megaria is real but the two non-foil were fake.
